No sitting on a few points with a 25% chance to draw for myself and my wife on seperate tags so IDK but now I am really thinking hard about putting in......... thAnks a lot......ha Yeah, if I was in your shoes I'd put in and shake the dice, lol ....I'm trying real hard to be an enabler. Lol

Are you guaranteed a tag in AZ??? I doubt it unless you have the points for your area. I guess what I'm saying is I wouldn't put all my eggs in one basket.

Only got drawn once and that was my 2nd choice unit in 3b It took me till the last day to decide to shoot a bull......not for a lack of sightings because I was passing anything under the 350" mark and only had a few opportunities on anything bigger...though I saw them. I shot the one in my avatar on the very last day after passing 2 others and one was a tempting 340" but I knew bigger ones were out there. Now I'm just a point builder at large. I have a 11yr old son who I hope can pull a tag....actually I can live the hunt through him so all is well and we'll have memories that neither will ever forget.

Do not use smokeless!!!! I use pyrodex pellets with cci 209 primers, havent switched powders because my gun really shoots well with it.

Guys, the method below is the way my taxidermist does it. Bleaching skulls 4-6 hr process Take all skin off can leave bottom jaw Get shallow (6"-8" deep pan) 18" dia. Fill with water till it reaches top of eye sockets put rag over top of skull to protect antlers. Get water to a boil add 1/4 cup of Super Washing Soda (sodium bicarbonate) Boil for 2 hrs or so (do not let water get too low) Keep adding water to maintain water level. Let dry for 1-2 days Get 40 volume Hydrogen Peroxide from Sallys Beauty Salon. Paint Hydrogen Peroxide on skull with a 1" brush completely covering it. (not horns) let dry for 1-2 days. Rinse off with a gentle spray of water - if not white enough you may reapply Hydrogen Peroxide over again. Go to Hobby Lobby and (from puzzle area) get Modge Podge Semi Gloss glue....cover everything except horns with 1" paintbrush. Let dry. * Every skull gets new water. All done. Btw, it's the way I do mine and it comes out perfectly with all nose bones intact. Also will suggest the tinfoiling of the antlers.

As promised the CHAMP hunts: Unit 6AN - 10% Unit 10 12% Wow! Sweet....lol his odds are like 1200% better than mine for getting drawn. Thanks for running the numbers man. I hope he gets a tag.

I haven't ever run the champ hunts before, I guess I just haven't ever been asked. I will try to work up specific numbers later but at first glance you will be shy of 10% on his first two choices. His last three choices are irrelevant, none of those hunts can be drawn beyond the 1-2 pass. cool, looking forward to see what you come up with . thanks

Just in case my post got overlooked accidently. I was wondering like everyone else if you would be so kind as to run some numbers for me, actually my son because my odds are probably zero. Lol He is a nonres with a CHAMP permit and currently 1 bp, also 10 yrs old if that matters. I put him in for hunts 3103(unit 10 champ), 3102(unit 6a champ), 3101(unit 1 champ) and then 3062, 3064 Youth Thanks again.

My 10 yr old son has a Lh Rem 700 youth in .243 with a leupold 3.5x10 scope with the cds dial on it. Right now I got him shooting barnes 80 grain ttsxs, im going to make him up a 100 grain partition load in case elk is on the menu.
