    1985, Western NY

    i was 16 at the time, first year I could hunt big game. 
    was walking back to the truck for lunch from hunting all morning. 
    as I walked dead center through a farmers cut hay field a small 4pt (eastern count) whitetail starting into the field with me. 
    he was as surprised as I was, was hunting with a single shot shotgun. 
    shot him at 65 yds, bunch of guys on the road near dads truck were all chatting with him when they heard the shot, they all came running to see what I shot and they grabbed my prize and drug him to the truck for me. 
    that left a lasting impression on comradery amongst fellow hunters. 
    I’ll never forget it. 
    and I still have the dinky rack. Lol

    As a nonresident who used to be a resident (wish I bought the lifetime license 😢) I definitely don’t want any more changes to the system. 
    well. One….I wish nonresidents who put in every year got at least up to 20% cap, not 10% but it is what it is and I’ll live with it. 
    wont be signing the petition. 
    And if he hasn’t gotten a tag in dozens of years then he’s doing something wrong on his draws other than the premium hunts. 
    like maybe putting more than one person on the hard to get draw app?

    anyways as a nonresident in the past 20 years I have been on somewhere around 12-15 hunts, granted not all my own as I have 2 kids and a father in law (who is a resident ) to hunt with. 
    we don’t always put in for the premium hunts and we’ve pulled some very respectable critters out of the mountains/woods. 
    like the bull in my avatar (that’s a 3b bull)

    my son killed a 97” coues

    i blew a chance on a 200+ inch Mule deer and lost a bonified 130” coues. 
    so……somebody is messing something up somewhere and it ain’t AZ……

    I got the original Rem 700 ml

    it had the stupid cap ignition then I “upgraded” to the 209 that was wrapped in a cage….what a mess that was. 
    cleaning that thing made me not want to shoot it so I contacted arrowhead and got a fully enclosed 209 ignition system that works off a firing pin that was fitted to my bolt. 
    best thing ever and no blow by whatsoever.
