Hang in there buddy! Amanda and the others gave you some great advice. We can only do,what we can do, even if our pride gets in the way of our physical capabilities. Hunting will not be over for you, and the pain will lessen, you will just have to adjust for it. Even though my situation is not as severe as yours, my bad back needs attention, and with no insurance and pre existing condition B.S, I will probably have to pay for it myself when I can. I have had to take a different approach to some hunting, especially when it comes to packing out game. I can't throw a hundred pound elk quarter on my pack, with out fear of possibly throwing out my back, and if I go down, it will be hard to walk out of the mountains unassisted. I would love to do backpacking trips on my hunt, but I can't risk all that weight on my back for days at a time. My prayers and best wishes for you and a speedy recovery!

Loosing a dog is hard. Dogs love us unconditionally, and can be man's best friend, and companion. It is too bad that their lifespan is so short compared to ours. Due to tough economic conditions and other issues, my wife decided the grass is greener somewhere else, and took my dog, Sammy (girl), whom is also my best freind with her. I miss my dog dearly

Excellent! get rid of those carnivirous kitties. It will give the anti's something to snivel about! G&F shouldn't even tell anybody. Just go in and get rid of the problems. Sheep are too precious to end up as cat food! -
How do you pass the time in the blind?

Patience is not one of my strong points. I cannot sit in one place for more than 2 hours, hence, I do not use blinds or stands. I am mainly a spot and stalk, or, intercept type of hunter. I rarely hunt the early season because my style of hunting requires alot of hiking and moving around, and it is just too dang hot most of the time, unless it is up in the high country On occassion I will sit in a natural blind setting overlooking a waterhole or spring and maybe a saddle where deer cross. And I may read a book or munch on some food, or glass as motionless as possible. But once I start getting fidgety, I move on. -
