That looks like a great family time, in some nice country. I sure like the looks of that stringer of fish, nice sized ones!

Guess where I took this pic

thats what I was thinking. Right after the water treatment plant in Marana. You know, I/we laugh at that, but growing up I used to swim in the santa cruz all of the time. I grew up on a farm by Evergreen Air Center....... RIGHT AFTER THE WATER TREATMENT PLANT IN MARANA!!! That whole time I thought it was dead craw-dads floating down the river..... Kinda like in the movie "Caddyshack" with the candybar floating in the pool! "Dooooodiiiee" -
Telluride family camping and fishing
Snapshot replied to WOODSAZ's topic in Non-hunting trip reports
Thats awesome! I have been to Telluride a time or two, and it is always a spectacular view. Did you see any of those big timberline mulies? -
Yeah, but elk and Sheep refunds are better, because there is more money to spend when you get it back.

Lee's Ferry for Sure. I think that just around that bend in the river is a spot that during low flows has been known to mangle the lower section of an outboard if you are not careful. -

Ssshhhhhh! I promised a certain CWT member that is too large for the small sportquad he was riding that I would not let the cat out of the bag over that incident. Its not a bad trail on a 4 x 4 quad with a CVT, but a few spots are a bit tricky for a manual clutch machine. -

Wow, that is a bummer. It must have been one heck of a storm. Glad nobody was hurt.

Being that it is Memorial weekend, I wanted to extend my gratitude and offer up a prayer for the men and women serving in the armed forces, and to all of our fallen commrades of the past, present, and future. You are the warriors who have defended our freedom and this great country! Semper Fidelis

At One-Time #1 Whitetail - FOR SALE????
Snapshot replied to m77's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Original mounts and antlers of that stature would go for thousands of dollars, definetly a remake. But a huge buck for sure. -
I can relate to that. I went through the full moon, warm weather hunt in 2005. But I think I got it figured out what to do this year if that happens. Maybe

The main factor is most of the bulls in unit 27 migrate off the Rim, after the rut, into the steep and nasty canyons, and alot of archery hunters may not know this, and may be hunting on top looking for bulls, when all that is up there is cows and dinks???? Oooppps! I gave away a secret Harvest survey cards would be a factor also, If a few people harvested a bull and didn't report it.
-
I just briefly glanced at some of the info, and found out that the November Archery bull elk hunt that I got drawn for this year had a 0% success rate last year. Hopefully I can help increase that ratio this year!

Thanks for the info Doug, I will check out the new info!

I am not you, and am not sure what what disclosure is legally required for military personel. But being the kind of person I am, I would tell them to eat dirt, ( I would probably be court marshalled) especially since the firearms are not located on government owned property. This almost smells like a possible violation of civil rights, and an invasion of personal privacy, but military personel are probably governed differently in this regard??? Like you said, bad things could be on the horizon The government will start in the areas that are easiest to control and work their way down the food chain.

Snapshot replied to aztrophytakers's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Down here in Sahuarita land it has been raining steady all night and all of today. -
Cajun style blackened catfish with some home fries, or some gumbo. Yummy!

Yeah, what kills me is that last year they dropped the premium December hunt down to 15 tags and moved the November hunt to October to lower the kill ratio and that give's G$F the opportunity to offer more tags this year. Lets create more opportunity, overcrowding, and over harvesting. Hoorahhhh!
