In 2006 I helped my wife's cousin on a hunt in 35B, and he killed the smaller of two bucks I glassed up. We camped in Harshaw canyon and killed the buck in the big canyons on the west side of the range. We saw a fair amount of deer but the biggest was high 80". There is a lot of traffic in harshaw, but it is a nice area. Lots of Border patrol activity. If you stay away from the roads and hike into the rougher canyons, you will get away from 95% of the crowds. Unfortunately we got to witness search and rescue load a deceased immigrant into the coroners vehicle, across the road from us. The vicitim was found by a hunter We also saw a good sized Bear about 700 yards out, and watched him for about an hour.

Nice! Did you see any slithering critters out there?
-
Thats pretty cool. I have seen it on tanned leather before, but never on the backside of a hair on reversed hide.

Do you bowhunt? Don't overlook Arizona's liberal archery season, some very outstanding bucks were taken by bowhunters this last year. Any of the decent whitetail units are good to hunt, but if you are limited to a short time frame ,it does not matter what unit you hunt, if you do not know the area, it will be a matter of luck, or being in the right place at the right time, unless you research and scout the area. Check out the AZGF regulations and determine what hunt and unit that will fit your travel and time limitations and then check out their hunt unit report and it will give you an idea of where to start your efforts.

Nice buck. I like those sneak position mounts! -
I am boiling up the tar, and plucking the chickens as we speak I always put in for the unit 27 Rocky Hunt (Foote Creek). Even though I will probably go to my grave before I draw it The Foote Creek hunt is a pack in hunt around the Horse Ridge area. I think G&F said a 30 sq.mile core area I heard a 190 class ram was taken out of that unit a couple few years ago even though the Rams average high 160's to 170 ish. A Ram was also poached in there 5-6 years ago? The Black River hunt, and San Francisco River hunt are also Rocky's, but I am not sure exactly where the S.F herd is at, except the local pets around the Mines. If you ever get the chance to meet me up there I can show you some of the Foote Creek area.

That works for a little while until they block our email addresses as spam -
Sounds maybe like a case of G-String-itis. Might want to give up the enzyte

I feel your pain Bro. Sorry to hear about your loss, that has to be hard losing both in a short period of time. I lost my Dad 3 years ago, and words can not describe how much I miss him. I don't care much for my mother. If you ever met her, you would understand why. But happy mothers day (belated) to all. Keep the faith Bro! -

The first thing is to have State legislators that actually have a pair. As far as how to get the ball rolling, I am not certain, but I will do some research. Maybe someone here has some good connections. -
I am not sure. It is made for .45 long colt type(frame) guns. I used it with a Ruger Vaquero back in the Cowboy action shooting days. It is in good condition.

If anyone in the Tucson area is headed towards the Payson area in the near future, and can drop them off to Mike, I will bring the items to you.

Thats why I am only going to live there from May - September, during the summer fishing guide season. -
I have been baptised in the waters of the San Juan by stepping into a moss covered hole. My wife said it is one of the funniest things she has seen. All she saw was a flyrod and part of an arm sticking out of the water. Sorry Jackshoe, didn't mean to hijack your thread!

After I got to the far side of the river, I had the best day's fishing in yellowstone I ever had, caught over 20 nice cutthroat. I found a long stick to use as a wading pole/brace to get back across the river. The water was up to within a couple inches of the top of my chest waders. I felt almost like a big bobber.

I waded across the river near Buffalo Ford one time and almost got carried down river. I will never do that again.

Thats great, especially since I will likely be moving to Montana next year. I will certainly support the stance they are taking. -
Just picked up my whitetail mount from Scottyboy, and did he ever do a great job. I am very pleased with the results. Thanks Scottyboy, I hope we can make another trade when I get my big elk in November

God Bless!
