Winner Chosen - Next Drawing for a Pentax PF 65 ED II Spotting Scope with the Pentax XF Zoom Eyepiece
Snapshot replied to gr8fuldoug's topic in Optics and tripods
I am interested in the new Canon G10, as a more easy to carry all around camera. My big Canon pro camera (film) is to big to stick in the back pack, and eventually I want to get pro digital gear, someday -
Heck of a nice buck!

Rosemont Mine
Snapshot replied to SilentButDeadly's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
I don't think the original poster meant any offense, but just a statement made out of frustration. I have seen the area in question and what is happening there. A very beautiful and multi use area is going to be destroyed for all time. I live on the other side of the mountain from the mine and there has been some speculation as to what will happen to the ground water, as alot of us are on wells. I have friends and in-laws that work for the mines and have seen what happens when lay-offs and wage cuts take effect. I am all for a boost to the local economy and the jobs the mine will create, but am also saddened by what will be lost in the process, it is certainly a double edged sword. -

Sounds like the beginning of a CW.com party!! Happy Birthday Jim! Amanda Snapshot, 4:03 AM!!!!! Good Lord! I was asleep at that time dreaming of the buck I could possibly kill on my B-day! I was hunting a canyon That my dad was hunting the day I was born. That day he shot a buck that won a rifle in a big deer contest in Tucson with a field dressed weight of 112 pounds! The deer was a big 3 ptr with long tines. The antlers dissapeared, but were thought to have been B&C class! I do have the rifle that was won from that day. Every few years I get to hunt on my B-day. I like hunting the same spot where my dad shot that buck the day I was born! Thank You SO MUCH Jim Reynolds (Antlerdog) I have to get up at 3:30 a.m on workdays, to be up at the jobsite in Catalina by 6:00 a.m, so I log on early and pour some coffee in my eyes, hop in the shower and off I go.

Thats great Scott. A very nice looking house and spread you got in a beautiful area. I bet you will be glad when you are finished, as building houses is alot of hard work and long hours. Best wishes to you and the family.

First Coues hunt and Buck, Unit 31
Snapshot replied to AZantlerhead's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Outstanding buck, and good story. I know what you mean about carrying him out the old fashioned way, I have done that with a long pole years ago and that is hard work. -
Thats a great story Amanda. A big kudo's for you, Scott and Austin for going on a backpack hunt. Thats some great looking country in there. The warm weather is always tough to deal with. I wish they would change that hunt back to mid November. The size of Scotts back pack makes my back hurt just looking at it Great pictures!

We found a gun on our Mulie hunt
Snapshot replied to More D's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Mule deer are bigger(yep), they have more meat (yep). bigger horns (yep), and they are just way more challenging (uhhh, no) and delicious ( ) than all these doggie sized Coues Deer that everyone seems to get so excited about. 3 out of 5, 60% . Congrats you get a "D-" Man, I was hoping to squeak out at least a "C" on that deal -

Just because you can blindly stumble into a nice buck, doesnt mean coues are easy! Do it again next year. I dare ya! After driving all night to get there, it was pretty much a blind stumble Its all you guy's fault that I am now a Coues Hunter -

There are still leftover deer tags
Snapshot replied to DesertBull's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
That explains it better. I understand the one deer per year, but was not sure on the types of tags alloted. Thanks! -
Thats a great buck. Its good to see the young hunters taking some nice bucks. Way to go!
