I have a nice Cabela's two room nylon cabin tent, and last year after I washed it I stretched it out on my flatbed trailer to dry, and when I pulled it off to roll it up it caught on the corner of the trailer and put about a 16" rip in it. Do you know of any good nylon tent tape that I can patch it, I don't want to have to stitch it if I can help it becasue it will pucker and will have to be sealed. I am looking around the internet for options, Just wanted to see if any of you guys/gals might know of something? Thanx!

I don't have alot of experience with Antelope scoring, but I think TLH is pretty close on that score, I would have guessed 85-87".

I wear my helmet faithfully, because of all the bad things I have seen happen to others.

Nice pics.! The bear seems a little skinny, maybe in a year or two? -
I don't know why I have not posted to this thread yet, but....... I have lived in Tucson since 1973( Minnesota transplant), moved to Sahuarita in 99'. I have been a custom cabinet maker and finish carpenter most of my life and am self employed in that field, I do small remodels on the side, and I also am inspiring to be a part time writer/photographer. I have been a mule deer hunter most of my life and have just started hunting Coues these last 5 years, most in part to this wonderful website and all the great people. Unit 27 has always been my favorite place to hunt deer, elk ,bear, and I get up there any chance I can get, I also like hunting New Mexico and Colorado when I can swing it. I love riding my quad on the back roads and trails (legaly) just to explore new places, and my second love to hunting is flyfishing. I have flyfished around the western united states and my favorite place of all is around West Yellowstone, Montana , the Gunnison Basin in Colorado and Lee's ferry in Arizona.

What would you do for your Coues?
Snapshot replied to Lance's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
Well......... I am not as fanatical about Coues hunting as some of you but I have always been a hard huntin, gung ho, up and over the mountain and then over and around three more mountains and then sweat it back to camp in a completely worn out fashion and swearing I'll never do that again, except after a good nights sleep, I end up doing it all again the next day. With advancing age and a chronic back problem I have resolved myself into hunting smarter instead of wearing myself out. So a couple years ago I went and bought a pair of "25 x 100" binoculars and along with my "12 x 50's" will spend more time glassing from good areas and moving around and glassing more and targeting springs and water hole areas. -

Thats awesome! A rocky mountain bighorn would be my dream hunt of a lifetime. Can't wait to see your hunt pics and story to go with it. -
Whatever the final design ends up being, I am going to order some later this summer. I need all the CWT luck that I can get for this falls hunt. I am still looking to bag my first giant Coues

December 35A-B muzz hunt help?
Snapshot replied to schmalts's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
It is not unrealistic, especially during the rut. All the southern units have some big mulies. -
I live on the nothern edge of unit 34a, you are welcome to ship it to my house and pick it up on your way out. It is a straight shot from the airport down old nogales highway to Sahuarita road and then not to far east to Sonoita highway which takes you right to 35a/b.

I came across what looked liked an abandoned pot farm once. All kinds of potting buckets, the soil all churned up and fertilizer bags scattered around. Don't want to run into anybody that might look like they came out of the movie "Deliverance" or "Without a paddle".

I have already won the contest, you guys just don't know it yet.

Great photo's as always/ Thanks for sharing.

I don't reload much anymore, but I use remington premium ammo with 150 grain accutip for deer. It is one of the most accurate loads I have found for my rifle in 30-06, but they are a little more expensive.

A Week in the Chugach Mountains-Alaska-July 2008
Snapshot replied to AZP&Y's topic in Non-hunting trip reports
Man, am I envious. That sounds like a blast. Besides hunting, flyfishing is a close second favorite. Great Pics and story. Thanks for sharing. How are the bugs, I here they get pretty bad in June but are gone byt August. -
I am helping out with an article for an up and coming hunting magazine and we are putting together an article on early season archery deer hunting. This article will be an overview of archery deer hunting in Arizona, the new regulation changes and information obtained from G&F, and some how too tips and tactics from those of us that bowhunt. For those of you hunt the early season , I am looking to get your input on the following: What is your favorite hunting tactic during the early season. Stand hunting, water holes, spot and stalk, etc, and why you use them? What elevations are you typically hunting this time of year. Mule deer or whitetail? What is the average time you spend hunting in the morning and evening relevant to temperature? What gives you your best advantage and overall success to your hunt. Any opinion you may have on the changing archery hunt structures. Any information that you would like to share would be appreciated! P.S - No unit specific info or hot spot locations required

It will be awhile before I heal enough to be able to hold the bow, and shoot well enough to hunt, maybe by the late archery hunt? I was hoping to chase bears in the early season, but will have to wait until October.

I usually start scouting around down there south of my house in late August, I can help you out some, or at least put you on some decent spots if you want the help. Let me know.
