Besides Montana, the last Brown trout I caught was at Tunnel Lake in Greer. Just over 3 pounds. Lost one that was even bigger from the same spot. Released to fight another day....and fertilize babies. Have caught some monster Crappie from San Carlos,....back in the good old days.

I am 99% catch and release. Sometimes I will keep a couple, if they are wild born, or holdover fish. I don't care for eating stockers very much. When it comes to conservation, I will keep fish, if it helps the fisheries.I spent almost 2 years in the Yellowstone area of Montana, as well as the Madison River Valley. I caught hundreds of fish over the course of 2 fishing seasons, and I think I only kept about 8 of them.
