Hope ya kill a monster B&C Bob. Love to see your smiling face on the cover of a huntin' mag.

You have been a member since 2011. Where were you when I needed you? Great you are helping all these out of shape guys here. I'm glad I am in perfect shape. And trust me....ROUND IS A SHAPE...look it up.

I agree Bob when you say the older you get you don't really care about the big one. So when you are in unit 10 and you see that 380+ bull, just say to yourself, "Bob, that bull don't mean that much. I think I will leave him for Dan to get on his late Nov. hunt. Thanks buddy.

March makes an 8-80 x 56mm rifle scope. Now you can get a good look at the game and shoot em at the same time. Check out this site. It has pics of what it looks like looking thru a 80 power scope at 1000 yrds. http://bulletin.accurateshooter.com/2012/11/ultra-high-magnification-8-80x56mm-march-riflescope/

Duck Depression
murfys69law replied to CouesPursuit's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
I remember sitting in the blind in Louisiana with my uncles yellow lab freezing out butts off shooting ducks and geese. Some of the best times I ever had. Haven't done much here in AZ. Went to San Carlos one year and got a few teal and one green-head but that was 20 years ago. Now you got me wanting to go again. Great pics and awesome looking lab. -
I am from Louisiana and we would go to Popeye's and get some fried chicken. After eating the chicken we would take the bones and put them in our traps and catch a chit load of mudbugs. You fill your belly with chicken and waist nothing to catch them. Never tried the Colonel's. Maybe the 13 herbs and spices might be better.

I don't know him either Bob but I did hear there were some here that didn't like him and I don't know why. I did hear he was pretty sick or in bad health. Kinda curious what he did or why there were heated exchanges with him.

300 Win Mag rounds. What would you use.
murfys69law posted a topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I have 4 different rounds that work great in my Browning A bolt 300 WM. Left to right they are, 180grn rem cor-loct (reload), 180grn Bronze point (reload), 180 grn ballistic tip (factory), and 180 grn accubond (factory). They all group well. I have a unit 10 bull late rifle tag after 8 years and this may be my last one. I hope not but i ain't gettin any younger. I really would like to take a nice bull before I'm gone and don't wanna take a chance of missing one with a round that doesn't put him down quick. I have shot 1 deer with the core-locs and 1 deer with the ballistic tip. Both deer have dropped in their tracks. The ballistic tip tho I could have drove a truck thru the whole in him. Lost a lot of meat. I realize shot placement is the key factor and I have no problem with with placement. Just your opinions on what has worked the best for you. Thanks in advance. -
Good lookin' fish.

My family and I went to Estes Park Colorado this past week to spread my Daughters ashes in a place she loved since she was a baby. She passed in Dec of last year and we sure miss her. Great to have a wonderful wife and son to share this with. Treasure your children all. They are truly a blessing. While we were there we did have a lot of visitors at the cabin and I know my daughter Crystal Rose would love for me to share these cool pics with you all. Hope you enjoy them as much as we did. Happy Fathers day to all the dads out there. The last picture is where my daughter will get to spend the rest of her days looking over beautiful Estes Park.

Sorry for your loss buddy!!!!! I can honestly say I know how you feel. Losing a child can bring so many mixed feelings. Denial, sadness, anger, depression. All that going on makes for a long road to walk. It however does get better with time. My heart goes out to you and anyone else who has lost a child. That's why we have to tell our kids and family everyday how much they mean to us and live everyday like it's your last. You never know what will happen.

Thanks. I don't care if they were $5.00 each. Still pisses me off when a thief steals our stuff. Good luck and hope you keep em' a while.

What kind are they?

Couple more I forgot to post.

Had the same thing happen years ago. I now have a Liftmaster door opener that attaches right to the shaft on the side of the door. Auto locking system as well. When door closes a steel bolt goes thru the frame and cant be moved unless with remote or manually by hand from inside garage. No more worries.

My family and I really appreciate the well wishes. It was a very emotional time this past week but we have grown together even stronger and this really does put a lot of closure to this bad situation. Like my dad used to say, "You play the hand your dealt" and that's what will will do. Thanks again all and good hunting this year.

I have no doubt that there are people, if you can call them that, who go to water holes, game trails and other places just looking for cameras to steal. I would lock everything up that I could. jmo.

That's a great bull! Thanks for sharing

Well, For my 1000 post I would like to say that maybe someone that hasn't been a career politician and knows how to make money might be the ticket for us. Maybe Donald Trump. Then he could fire them all and hire his own friends. OOOPS!! Wrong one..

We will keep you and your dad in our thoughts and prayers.
