The vortex I looked at had 1/4 moa. It was the PST 6x24x50 Viper FFP. Granted it doesnt have covered turrets which I didn't think about but the price was unreal.

NYFD Woman Fails Test
murfys69law replied to Non-Typical Solutions's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
It's all politics. Is anyone really surprised this happened? This is happening all over this country in many other scenarios. We just happened to see this one. This country is going down the toilet and OBAMA has his hand on the handle. -
Very nice mount. Congrats!!

With a 300 win mag step up to the 190 or 210 grain LRAB to take full advantage of the cartridge. I wish I could go with a bigger grain but I can't. I have an A-Bolt Browning in 300 wm and the detachable magazine FROM the factory is so short I can't load a longer bullet. It either won't fit into it or its so tight it will flatten the nose of bullet when shooting. Don't have any idea what the he ll Browning was thinking when the designed this. I tried to adjust bullet depth when I first got it so the round was closer to the lands trying to get better accuracy and that's when I discovered the problem. I have loaded 180's but I have to watch how far I seat them. Just seat the bullet to mag length and tune your load from there. Yeah you loose a little case capacity and velocity but you more than make up for it in retained velocity, wind drift and energy at longer range due to the heavier bullet. Seating to mag length is the name of the game with most magnums and heavy bullets if you want it to be a repeater hunting rifle. Just because the bullet has a lot of jump does not mean it won't be accurate. That makes sense. I have only loaded 180 since I had it. I have found they do very well. It was a pretty accurate load I had but from all the data and people I have talked to they have told me that the 165 is one of the best rounds for 30 cal rifles. I guess it depends on the gun but I did want to try 165s and then go from there. Has anyone ever had the problem with the A-Bolt mags besides me?

Ramshot is a new powder isn't it? I read good things about it but where do you get it?
-
I lived in Cameron, LA. SW corner of LA and we would catch reds like bluegills . One of the best eating fish I think.
-
Going to load some 165s in my 300 win mag. I hear they are awesome for that caliber.
-
Well...I know it ain't right to cheat on your wife....but Clinton...you had every reason to. OMG!!!! This woman is fugly. She fell through an ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down!!!!

That's how pigmies catch pythons. They build a bamboo cage just big enough for the python to get in and tie a pig inside of cage. Snake eats pig and can't get through door and they got him.

Then that tells me they are understaffed. I appreciate a lot of what they do and have met some nice G&F rangers. It's always been on their time tho and not mine.
-
Are you using a foxpro or mouth calls or some other brand?
-
I know several who have went through the process with G&F and never had any issue getting to keep the antlers after G&F inspected the animal.. The officers I know we have spoke too said people get confused with the word fresh thinking meat still on bone, but clearly stated that if the hide was dried and leathered up covering the bone removing it would be against the law. Of course here you will get the guys who only bash G&F making it seem like they do not care, but it has been my experience that even a spike or cow found they come out to inspect to try and determine the cause and if the animal was poached... People like to interpret laws to suit themselves and then discount them because they feel they are not enforced ( kind of like a guy cutting up half alive tree to hang a stand in ) .. to each their own but I will continue doing it the way I was taught and the way I have had it explained by the guys who can actually enforce it. As stated earlier ... may be just a good way to do some e-scouting I am all for trying to help during the open season where a guy or gal may still have a chance to put a tag on it legally, but once seasons close up as Hunters in Arizona I think it is our responsibility to assist our G&F in their efforts by following the regulations... And if you follow the regs and call and they don't come out or give you a "I don't give a chit attitude" then why call and waste my time. This was during the hunting season. This elk was fresh according to their interpretation. I did my due diligence and they didn't care? Neither do I. Some young hunter I am sure would have loved to have shot the spike I found and eat the meat. Even a food bank or some other charity organization may have used it. But to not even look at it or even take the info where it was I find that irresponsible on G&F.

But there are enough bullets. I have my share you can borrow.

Amazing the wealth of knowledge we can learn on CWT. I didn't know any of this stuff about our turkeys. Only hunted them 3 times and never even saw one. Heard em tho.
-
Yes...Like the guy that heard his wife arguing with someone after he heard her shoot. Finally he got closer and saw the 2 arguing and her holding her rifle on the guy. The guy said, "Lady, You can have the cow elk, Just let me get my saddle off it first"....
-
Good luck. That is def a beautiful build.

Hey Nate....I assume you were finding these dogs....wayyyyyyyyyyy out west again?
