I passed on this bull last year. Didn't have the heart to pull the trigger..

I have used this round for years and have never had the same results twice. 300 Win mag 180 grain, 30-06 165 grain, 270 Win and 270 WSM 130 & 150 grain. I have had full penetration in and out both sides, never exiting and turning everything inside to jelly, exploding (like a small grenade went off) it seems like on impact, Hitting bone and deflecting to other areas inside. What I read about this bullet makes it sound like it is one of the best rounds you can use. Granted ALL my animals have been found close or dropped in their track. I just don't understand why this round never acts the same as others I have used. IE.. Silver tip, Nosler partition, Speers and Berger. It is a cheap factor load when it comes to buying ammo now but I sure have lost a lot of meat thru-out the years because of this round. Anyone else find this true? Just interested if I am the only one.

Good point. Never thought of that

All of you that have a friend that snores...Been there, experienced that. I did however discover this thing called "Ear plugs" Seems to work great for me. Just saying -
I appreciate you candor about your processing. I will say that 2 times in all the animals I have had done that I KNOW for a fact that I have received someone else's meat. I take extreme care when fielding my animals. Very little dirt, grass, hair, etc.. Picking up my game, taking it home and opening a package to cook and finding hair, dirt, and other things that I know were not brought in that way is very disheartening. Upon questioning the butcher I have been told that sometime this happens. I don't think this should EVER happen. I do not expect paying for someone else's lack of knowledge or just caring properly for their game is my fault. A reputable processing establishment should back up their work. I hope this never happens to anyone else cuz it was a waist of money and time on all involved except the person who received MY well taken care of game. If I ever get another tag I will be interested in trying your sevice. Thanks Jeremy

I have a 4000 watt onan gen. for sale. I took it out of a motorhome that was trashed. Want $350.00 for it. I haven't got pics to load yet but hope to have some today. It's not the whisper quiet but does the job if you need a good one. Gas burner not propane. I do know it can be converted to propane if you want to pay for the conversion kit.

Well. Thanks for all the input. I will say again like before. I have never lost an animal with this round. It is and will always be a low cost devastating bullet. I do however agree with you all about the long range aspects of this bullet. The farthest shot I have made was around 350 yrds and dropped the deer. I will use them again just because of the price. I guess dead is dead like Norteno said. I will just cut out the bloodshot and grill whats left. Have a great hunt everyone.

Ok..This story is fake but I just can't believe a mule would play with a dead cat like this..wow.... You can see the pictures of the mule biting and throwing the cat in the air . Just google mule kills mountain lion.

I have shot them where I was supposed to. Right behind the shoulder and lost the heart, liver, opposite shoulder, because they grenade when it hits. I have only found 2 rounds in all the animals I have taken. 6 deer, 2 elk, 4 pigs. I shoot well and don't take bad shots. This is a devastating bullet. I am just not sure why they don't perform the same or even close to the same in the same rifle. I agree with the price too. I shoot different rounds now but still have some cor lokts left.
-
Whats a factor load? I had to do it you know I like my core lokts. I know YOU do but there is an issue with this round..And a factory load is when you are out of work and can't buy BETTER loads.

I have eaten at fargos before. I could use the steak to retread my Goodyear all terains. YUCK..I know what i say I have been in Payson for 50 years...Ruth Chris or Carvers is a much much better choice...just saying

Had a friend that never hunted. got him lined out on what weapon to use, ammo, clothes, etc... I spent 2 months scouting the area. Took him to MY honey hole. He showed up at 1am the morning of the hunt. I had put to bed 5 nice bucks that day. I harvested a 6x6 mulie while he got a nice 3x3 at the same time. 2 years later he tells me he has a friend that they put in together and got drawn for my area and wanted to know exactly where we were. Never took the time to scout, ask me to put in with him, introduce me to his friend, (later found out the guy's a poaching A$$HOLE. Never hunted with him again. Enclosed is the 6x6 I shot at 380 yards with my own reloads. 130 grain silver tips. WOW!!! -

What boat were you on in SD that caught all the tuna? I always use the "Prowler" Awesome Capt and we slaughter the tuna and dorado. -
A game and fish officer got transferred from Colo. to Louisiana. His friend in Colo. told him to be ware as those cajuns are poachers and pretty tricky when it comes to huntin'. His first week there was opening day of squirrel season. He was hiding in the woods watching when he saw this cajun with a huge big brimmed hat with his head down walking. He watched him walk to a tree, look up and out fell a squirrel and hit the ground dead. He noticed he had no gun. Well this guy is up to something so he approached him, told him he was game & fish officer and needed to see his weapon and huntin' license. The cajun looked up and the officer was in shock how butt ugly this guy was. The cajun said heres my license but I don't have a weapon. The officer said I just watched you kill that squirrel. What did you use to kill it? He said I just ugly them to death. WTF. replied the officer. The cajun says I never use a weapon and neither does anyone in my family including my wife. The officer asks, Your wife's out here hunting squirrels like this too? The cajun replied, "I don't take my wife huntin' squirrels, She tears em up to bad" LOL No offense to the cajun's cuz I are one. Ttt
