Once again, I went through the week watching my diet intake. Stretching/push-ups/sit-ups almost daily. The big workout this past week was my scouting trip Fri/Sat. It was a tough hike back and forth from my truck to the glassing spot. But I made it through. Had my pack at about 30-35lbs I think. I'll need to see if I can shed some weight for my next trip out. I thought my back would be a lot more sore right now but it isn't bad. I think the little exercise I did to strengthen/stretch helped. Also having my pack set up correctly to have the load on my legs rather than my shoulder helped as well. Can't wait for the next scouting trip.

I'm with you. September is looking so busy for my household. Wife's bday, son has a baseball tourney, dove hunt, deer scouting, my bday. Fun fun fun... -
That may or may not be accurate. Tough to say really, but overall I agree with trphyhntr. Those are generally not very accurate. It should never take into account how much weight you "want to lose per week". You should calculate out your basal metabolic rate, adjust for activity, then add 500 for lean weight gain and subtract 500 for efficient fat loss. Efficient fat loss is a maximum of 2lbs/week. Any more than that and you likely start to eat into muscle. Only exception is morbidly obese people. Also, as said earlier, you never want to eat increased quantities based solely on exercise. Instead, you should be accounting for exercise in your overall diet and adjust your intake. I can try to explain, but the physiology can pretty complicated and boring. You will see maximum results by planning your days out ahead of time and properly balancing all of your meals and macros. A small part of the process is confusing your body by making it believe there is an abundance of food while it is actually at a deficit. If you want I would be happy to send you my spreadsheet. Thanks for the explanation. Sent you a PM.

Yes for ear protection when shooting the rifle. Don't need it on when looking for the target.

"There's 2 sides to every story". We all knew that the main stream media isn't telling the whole truth. And if this letter is legit, here's the other side. Prayers go out to the family of Masugu. As for the Cecil the lion, hope that many locals enjoyed his meat after he was harvested.

It's better than not using anything. I've lost quite a bit of weight using it because if I don't use it, I go way over. It may not be perfect but something is better than nothing...unless I find something else better.

I've been using the MyFitnessPal app on my iPhone to keep track of my calorie intake. It's got me set at 2020 calories a day (had to enter my current weight and how much I want to lose per week...currently have it set to 1 lb a week). Also, as I walk around throughout the day, it keeps track of my steps and adds a few calories that I can intake depending on how much walking I do. Anyways, how does your spreadsheet differ? Awesome of you to offer this help btw.

Sounds like you just want a new toy . I know how that feels. I have a .270 and plan on using it on my hunt cause it's what I have. Have fun with your search. I'm sure you'll enjoy shooting whichever you go with. -
Nice. Good luck on your hunts.

Here's a question to get my mind away from the results. My wife is looking for pillowcases at Goodwill and asked me if colored pillowcases are ok. I think it should be ok. But I always see white being used. What do you guys think?

Thanks everyone!

Congrats to everyone!!! Finally!!! Got my #2 pick (which I had a feeling I did and have done a lot of e-scouting already in the unit). Can't wait to see everyone's pics and story and hope to put up my own as well.

The URL on your picture says: azgfdportal.devaz.gov/hunting/draw The URL I'm looking at is: azgfdportal.az.gov/Hunting/Draw Looks like somehow you're looking at the development version of the site. How'd you manage that?

That's weird. I refreshed that page a few times and I don't see what you're seeing.

I think he's referring to the "You have applications/tags available" message. Which I read as applications and\or tags. In which case, is true.
