I'm all set up with a dedicated bowfishing bow now, but haven't got out. Last time was a couple years ago. May try this fall.

A flathead my buddy Billy got last year and a 24lb channel my friend Matt got this spring. Only ones I have on my phone, but there's many more. Have to pull some off my computer.

I always to to find desert washes with dove. Hunting fields opening day is way too crowded. I also find you have the best chance to find unethical, unsafe hunters during dove opener. Luckily these people are too lazy to get out the rest of the year.

Havasu has tons of big channels. Our biggest this year is 24lbs and that was on a 10" glide bait. I've caught several on the artificials this year. They are very athletic and aggressive there. Will even come up an attack a lure on the surface sometimes. Live bluegills are the best though. Cut bait usually catches the smaller fish.

How are they at being close to proper size? I usually wear size 10, but some boots 9.5, some 10.5. I want to order a pair if they are not out of my size?

Yes. 30 lb big game or izorline. Also fish a lot of 65-80lb power pro.

Very sad tragedy. That girl will need extensive therapy I'm sure. The anti gun lobby will be all over this as well.

Was a lot around havasu, but the storms definitely pushed the white wings south and saw fewer mornings, though I wasn't really looking for them.

I love my very mild 6.5x55. Confident to 500+, as far as I need to be shooting at game. Any of the hotter 6.5s would be great. So many excellent 120-140 grain bullets in 6.5.

Seems like a great cartridge, but not sure of its necessity. More for the guy who thinks he needs the latest, greatest. Range finders eliminate much of the need to extend point blank range.

Congrats! First archery deer is awesome. Mine was a small doe and I remember it as well as the biggest buck I killed. I hope you realize your life is changed forever.
