I have my Springfeild xd 40 in my finger print locked and loaded next to my bed. Plus my wife sig 380, ( for quick response), a short barrel shot gun in the closets (rounds are in the top drawer to keep kids away, 4 shot high brass) and the Ar-15 with side pouches loaded magazines. Have 300 rounds shotgun, 1000 rounds of 223, few hundred .270 rounds, 100 rounds 380, and 1000 rounds of .40. Of course all this is recreational and I enjoy hunting and shooting, but this is the minimal amount I keep. Everybody's prepping is different, but I prep for the Katrina type scenarios. I don't think this country is going to fall apart any time in my lifetime or that were forced to fight the government for any reason. But I am prepared for lawlessness that might happen. If a natural disaster happen that we lost power drinking water food for a long period time there might be a mass panic. Just like Katrina there were fire fights with defense contractors that were hired because police went home and was trying to support protect and help their families out. So if Phoenix and outer cities ever becomes a tombstone of modern-day for a few weeks or so at least I'm prepared with protection, 4 months of food, 2 months of water. Now if something did happen like that I know a lot of people will be out there helping each other out. More so then bad! But perhaps rougher cities or neighborhoods it could be different, or they might pour in your neighborhood. What's your prepping situation and what do you believe in? Any tactics or ideas?????

Apparently I've driven by this many times on fireroad 25. I camped my entire life by big Lake area, but never new of the wilderness down there. I just saw it today on a map! Years ago down off the black river I've seen some whitetail. Does anybody back pack in and hunt whitetail in that area??

I'm not an emotional person at all. But I was fighting any sign of tears when I first drove through that area. I still get depressed thinking about it and angry

Don't let people scare you away wih the ford 6.0 2003-2007. I have the 2006 and tows great. Lots of power from just a 6.0. But if you do go that route the 6.0 do have the problems. The main problem to all 6.0 major engine problems are the oiler cooler and EGR. You get those replaced with Bullet Proof Diesel aftermarket products not Ford replacement part, the truck will do just fine with those. If you find a truck with 80 to 100k miles on it make sure you knock them down to 10k to 12 k because I guaranty you that EGR or oiler cooler are about to go out. It's about 5k to put those in. So that will equalize it up to 15k-17k which is about right. That's why you can find great deals on 6.0s. But you need to Bullet Proof. If they said they already did you better see that in writing and receipts. If you want to chip out the truck you are probably better off putting head studs on in to while your in there. Mine is on a low street performance tune and I dont have heads. and my mechanic say that tune is fine but any higher performance you need them studded.

Trailer trash is more of a state of mind. If you act like this neighbor does then maybe. Just because we have all the hunting equipment and gear doesn't mean we act like a back woods redneck. It would be safe to say that most people who are active on this site are hunters with Class! Class = respectful, courteous, helpful, common sense, lives above poverty mentality even if he is poor financially, keeps his household clean, ( I can be cluttered but my lawns look nice and the weeds are pulled), not a dump! My opinion of class type hunters that you would want to hunt around.

That's all I ever here from pit bull owners "sorry he's really a good dog" I've met very few owner with pits like you. Good for you on having properly trained dogs. I don't know why but it seems like 90 % of home owner with pits are like this guys dog backyard problem

If they are not part of the 70% then they just have a crappy taste in dogs!

Hmmmm house renters! This is 70% of trash people bounce from house to house, don't care about the house or neighborhood and are the type of people to have a pit bull! The other 20% are people who are saving up to buy a house! and the last 10% are people going to school and working to start their lives and careers. My opinion, but that's what I've noticed.
