I just kept to my high nutrition diet, gym, and cardio! Lost another couple of pounds and another 1/2" around the waist. I probably only did about 5 miles pack in on my whitetail hunt last week. This was an easy hike because this is the first time I was in good shape to backpack in.

Ha ha ha! Yep that can sound like me at times, and other times Im totally into it depending on whats going on in life. I own a business and sometimes its annoying I have to drop everything when things need to get done for a vacation, or a hunt. If I let work get to busy I forget about simple common hunts. If its a big deal like a bull elk hunt, Kaibab hunt, antelope hunt Im more focus on that then trying to get my job done ha ha. But I know people who don't care about their jobs and met workers who would be ok in losing their job just so they can go on their hunt (if that had to be a choice). People are wired different, some like company, some like to be alone, some want a challenge, some don't care about priorities, and I see myself right in the middle of all this most of the time.

Thanks for all the comments! 300 Rum I couldn't do a 10 day solo! Hunting hard is no prob! We hiked in an hour and half before sunrise and had to turn back once I was on my last liter of water. (we had to climb a big ole hill after a good 80" buck) When your partner wants and likes heading back to camp it throws to much down time in for me! Usually when that happens I eat lunch and jump in the rhino and go glassing by myself, and come back and pick up my brother for the late even hunts. Im not a good napper, nor am I really good at falling asleep right after dinner. I usually have to take a tylonal PM to help put me down when I camp. But a good idea is maybe do alot more hunting by myself and when I have another hunter with me it should be a party! Besides all this and what I usually am used to, I just wasn't filling either. Couple of things I realized! I usually pump myself up for hunts and read CW everyday getting excited, which I didn't do. I usually work on loads and shooting every weekend, which I also didn't do! Plus staring at google earth and e scouting other areas, which I didn't do! I think a classic sport player not having their head in the game put a funk in my hunt

BC never matches up to what they say. Some of the highest BC in that grain will be Hornady ELDs. The Bergers are right there too. I here they perform great on animals but from all the reviews Ive seen even alot of people on this forum haven't had much luck with the LR. The Accurbonds do well but not as good BC if that is what your looking for.

Usually for a chafe but crack!!!! Go down to the sports store Dick's and get BodyGlide. Its a blue deodorant stick looking thing. Put it anywhere where it chafes. Im in construction and during the summers I had to use baby-powder and had to re apply like 3 times in a day. This BodyGlide will last all day. Marathon runners and bicyclist like it. I use it for work he he

I never once looked at this thread!! This summer I finally got real disgusted with myself at my peak 210lbs. (13 years ago I was married at 175lbs) Tired of looking out of shape while my wife has been working out for years looking hotter and hotter, people probably look at me and say had did he married her ha ha ha! This started Oct 2 2017 (at this point im sick and tired of being this way and went ba!!s out) Started off on a strict diet and low calories, well that lasted for 6 days until I bumped it up to 1600 calories and I only eat 30 % protein, 30% healthy fats, and 40% carbs. During that first week I lost 11 lbs, started eating the newer diet and Mon, Wed, and Fri I hit the gym and focus on weights. I do cardio everyday except Sundays and they are always mixed up from 20 mile flat surface Mt biking, jogging (rarely), sprinting, basketball for 1-1/2 hrs on saturdays. I used to drink 32 oz of Mt Dew in the morning , one for lunch, on the way home and one for dinner!! It was bad. I haven't had a soda since Oct 2nd. Ive really been enjoying Sparkling Ice carbonated sugar less soda. (it taste really good and Im a picky soda drinker). My results are now 21 lbs lighter at 189lbs and Ive gained 2 pounds of muscle. Im going to keep going until I hit 10-12 % body fat. I started at 32%. I haven't been on the forum lately because I've been watching hundreds of Youtube vids of weight lost and weight lifting, so Im glad Ive found this to keep it up with my Coues Bros.

Do what is said above. My Bergers never did well in the mag but did well with 0.05 jump single shot. (Tikka Mag) I like having rounds in the mag so the bergers didn't work for me. If your cranking out that velocity and 1/2 MOA I would just keep the nosler. If your doing it just for fun and see what it can do, do what Lances suggest -
