  1. I did a church mission to Montana in my early years.  Missoula is pretty and nice. Winter time is gloomy all winter long.  Lots of white tail to choose from.  Butte is a neat town but I wouldn't want to move there.  Bozeman is a great town and has lot more sunny days than Missoula.  Spent 6 months from spring to Fall in Kailspell. Winters are dark as well.   I only drove through Helena so not sure about the weather during winter time.  But from what I hear Helena is nice as well.  Really all you are doing is trading the same type of crazy weather in AZ just the opposite of us who live in Phx area.  Its been 20 years but they used to have a package deal.  White tail, mule deer and an elk tag.  The hunts starts Archery if want to use bow in Sept.  You have the whole month, then rifle starts up from Oct to sometime in Nov.  So hunting season is lot longer.   But Montana is slowly turning into California of the mountains right now,  Residents were complaining about that in 2001 when I was there.  But one thing is for sure.  Fishing is lot better there than AZ.  But every time I talked to a local hunter they wanted to hear about AZ big bulls LOL

  2. Its a special type of person who will pay tons of money for a special breeded high fence hunt and then they can pat themselves on the back after they shot it.

High fence albino elk (bear world) discussion: who has seen albino or melanic hoofed animals in the wild? : r/Hunting

Look there is a monster!  Shoot it before its runs away!!  Oh wait it can't and its used to people petting it.

But all jokes aside I would do private property and high fence in a large plot of land for a cheap price.  But spending over 5k to shoot a tame animal not really.

  3. Look on line, and look at craiglist a 3-6 months before the hunt starts.  There are owners out there that just sell a few tags.  Big ranches usually have outfitters and it will cost you a total probably around 3-5k.  Depending on the land size it can cost you from 1k-3k for a landowner tag.  You need to be diligent in searching.  I paid once for a outfitter the first time.  It was 4k.  So I searched and searched.  I got lucky a guy on a ranch of 50,000 acres was looking for quality safe, ethical hunters he can trust year after year.  He refuses outfitters.  That add came out on Muley Crazy.com.  after a google search.  He posted it 15min before and I quickly called him.  He is a great guy and he got to hand pick the people to hunt this land that he trust and its the same people every year.  So lots of email, lots of phone calls.  You might get lucky and find a good ranch at a good price.  Good luck

  4. Ok Im a lic plumber and business owner.  My best best friend is a lic electrician and business owner.  You won't find a 6 figured job unless you travel the country for the union non stop.  But if he really wants to apply himself it won't be hard to get a head of piers in AZ.  Just take code classes at MCC and some Architectural classes from there too.  Soak it up.  Apply yourself!  If its something he has not done raise your hand and say i want to learn.  Business owners love these type of people.  In 4 years he can get a JM card in AZ.  In 5 years he can own his own business.  If not he is already miles ahead in field.  He will be making more then most.  Keep at it he will be running jobs with 10 people under him.  IN 8 years he could have 20 people under him making 6 figures.  If he is there just for the paycheck then he is just like everyone else at at 45k-65k.  Nothing wrong with that but if he wants it, construction in AZ the hungry person for advancement makes it far!!  Some of my good guys are at 66-70k.  My real hungry guys for achievement are at 70-90k.  And Ive had 2 people work with me that were the best!  But they started their own company.  That is how AZ works though

  6. I do everything in this vid and I use the foam technique.  I lay in a prone and have the gun in my shoulder where it feels comfortable and move scope forward or back until sight aligns.   My back doors are glass sliding and I aim at the block walls where the blocks are level.  I level the scope reticles on the block while the gun sits comfortable in my shoulder.
