Pm me if you need some info. I will be hunting cow on the late hunt and have hunted alot in those areas.

Wants certain tags to be once in a lifetime tags... complains that it is taking a lifetime to draw....

Either gonna be hunting public access on the yavapai or paying the K4 to hunt. Only two places in 17a with goats.

I am at least hoping for a poverty tag.

When the economy crashed alot of people turned horses loose also. I find alot of horses in unit 8 along the sycamore rim. According to cattle lease rules only a few horses are permited per section leased. So they are not ranch owned horses for sure.

Building your own arrows is the best thing to do imo. Just like custom handloads for rifles. Check out some articles on arrow and nock tuning. I also number my arrows to keep track of which ones shoot better/worse. Helical fletchings also help stabilize large blade broadheads that don't shoot well in high speed bows with no helical twist.

what is the gear recommendations?

Kids these days have it made! My first rifle was a spanish mauser with a steel buttplate and I put a slip on recoil pad on it. Put probably 1000 rounds of surplus ammo through that old thing. I think it was 2 dollars a box or something though.

I got my son a savage axis 7/08. He inherited a howa 308 from my dad when he passed. He prefers the 308 over the 7mm due to the savage kicks more because it is a much lighter rifle.

On a side note driving offroad because you are to lazy to get off your scooter and walk is not legal in most areas.

Next to a road and driving in a circle two feet from the water around the dam and tank are two different scenarios. And you all know this.

The only restriction I would like to see is driving any vehicle within a hundred yards of water unless retrieving game. Nothing worse than a side by side or quad looping a water hole during a hunt.

Where does it say all water catchments built by ranchers on all public land are private? Ranchers are probably in the top three for thorns in hunters side!

Ranchers do not own every water source they build on public land. They have a lease that is renewed yearly. Nothing on my onx shows any tanks on public land marked as owned by any John Wayne unless it is actually a private parcel. Which do exist in a few places. They can claim ownership on a state land tank. But not every tank on public land as you claim . And if im wrong show proof.

Ranchers are allowed to build structures and improvements on public land to accomodate livestock. But they are not private property. They can own non permanent items such as troughs and windmills and fencing but a dirt tank or even the dirt one inch away from a metal or concrete trough is public land. They cant say shoot unless you molest the actual structure.

If thats how the ranchers feel I'm gonna stop coyote hunting during calving season.
