Everybody should read this post and remember it. For most rifles, unless your shooting 400+ yards and at an angle of 30 degrees or more then it doesn't matter. 30 degrees is a lot steeper than most will ever have to worry about. I am one of those crazy people who carries a calculator in the cheek piece pocket on my rifle. I have an Angle Cosign Indicator on my scope and can calculate angle compensation while looking at my target. I have never used it in a hunting situation but I enjoy learning the ins' and outs' of long range shooting.

I love the idea! I've never been able to take it due to the time it takes to get through it but now I can. 12pts. antelope, 9pts. elk, 2pts. deer, 8pts. bighorn! Maybe with the extra point I can finally draw something...NOT.

Gilbert has the fastest growing elk herd in the country! DUH, everybody knows that.

Heard a few the last few days, mostly little ones showing off. Saw a heard of 50+ cows that wouldn't shut up.

The only one I had to add was the Outdoor Channel ($2), the others were already there. Channel 604, 606, and 608 on direct tv.

I bring a dvd player with head phones and put in a good comedy. I laugh into my cough silencer so I remain silent. I just pee in my adult diaper so that I don't have to move or make noise. Every few minutes I push pause on the dvd and scan and listen. I also fart into the cough silencer, it silences the noise and traps all the scent, then it's back to laughing away! I use two camel packs, one with water and one with blended up food that I can just suck through the tube. I've never killed anything out of my stand yet but I've made memories that will last forever!

I'm trying to find a digital camera with a lightning fast shutter speed for my wife. She has one now but every time she tries to capture a kodak moment of our little girl by the time it takes the picture she's a week older already. Anybody have some input on a fast digital? I'd like to hear your thoughts gr8fuldoug. thanks, Jason

Longshorts- waasup? Have not heard from you in a long time. Boone and Crocket or Pope and Young?? WAASSUUUUUUUUPPPP! I'm an SCI guy for a lack of a better scoring system. I think B&C is a great organization that does a lot for wildlife, however there scoring system is garbage imo.

This most recent incident could of and has happend during the regular seasons. Should we ban hunting seasons? The problem has nothing to do with the tags and everything to do with legal and ethical. Those who choose to take the hunt out of hunting and give the rest of us a black eye will have to suffer the consequences. I'm not accusing anyone specific in this case because I wasn't there and don't know what the facts are. If the allegations are true then it makes me sick and very sad. I believe there is much good that can come from these tags and would love to have one!
