I would like the rifle to be somewhere in the mid weight range. 9-10 lbs maybe.
-
Forgot to mention I would like to be able to kill elk and extended ranges so I would prefer to keep the caliber somewhat bigger.

Things are getting close! Still seeing does by themselves but starting to see more and more smaller bucks with does and thrashing bushes. Also seen 3 different bucks with one antler completely broke off.... found some good bucks out cruising solo and checking wind as well. All of this is southern AZ

$12 a head? Any discounts if multiple heads are bought?

Mine is set at 30, 40, 50. Works for me and really takes no time at all to adjust it if the target is out past 50.

^^^this. I have a 3 pin slider and find it is the best of both worlds. No pin clutter at all and at 20 yards my 30 pin is about 2.5" high. Knowing that I see no need for a 20 yard pin especially because I fell once I am within 30 there is no real need to get closer as it ups your odds of getting busted and it is plenty close!

Jay Scott has a couple of excellent Podcasts on the strip that are definitely worth a listen.

The 2s can be pretty dry units! Make sure to find water sources.

I have had an impulse 34 for about a month now and absolutely love it! I will say the draw cycle stacks up pretty early and is a little stiff. It also has a big dump into the valley but I don't mind it. Overall the bow holds extremely well and is very dead and quiet on the shot. Mine is 29.25" and 70#. It is shooting a Vitory VAP 300 weighing 431 grains 298-300 fps. Plenty fast for me!
