TJ, Dusty loves to go pig hunting and deer hunting and even bear hunting. But he only gets to sit up on the bluffs with us and watch. He's not good on the stalks.

Really a nice buck!! Congratulations!!

Wow that gives me the Itch!!!! We didn't pack in on our hunt this year and I missed it. What thrill it is to get into the remote back country and chase big bucks! I think I'll plan a little pack trip for the December hunt before this itch gets unbearable!!

0 for 4 but we had a great time!

It was a blast this year. Just hiking the country and seeing the game was awesome. I did almost no scouting this year so we didn't have anyplace to really zero in on and instead just made the rounds to some our "favorite" spots. John I'll see if I can get Ronda to write something up on her salsa recipe. She doesn't have anything written and just throws a bunch of stuff together. Had a Great time!! -
Great buck! Those are some good times! Congrats!

Bill I've been up elk hunting with Amanda and just came down for 1 day of work before I go back up. My son who is helping one of his buddies on this hunt found 9 dead rams that were apparently killed in the fire. Amanda and I have pics but I didn't bring my camera down with me. He found them above the confluence of Coyote Creek and the East Fork of the Black river.

I've been a Kifaru fan for over 15 years. Lifetime warranty but expensive. Extremely comfortable!!

Great news Bill! So happy your cabin was spared and even your wife's flowers! Good news!!

Bill you have a beautiful place up there and I know it holds a special place in your heart. My prayers are with you and those battling the blaze.

Thank you for the birthday wishes! I haven't been on the site in the last couple of days. Been pretty busy. Thanks again!

Monstercoues, I still hold to my original view of your post. You've showed poor form and no class.

Really poor form Monstercoues. No class at all.

Way to go Angie!! Wow that's some hardcore javelina hunting right there out in the snow and rain the first day then out the next for more of the same. That's what's separates the girls from the real hunters huh? Good job Tracy on helping her out and introducing a city girl to the exciting world of the outdoors woman!

We busted yet another javelina this morning, the last day of the hunt. Johnny Lujan killed his first javelina today just up the canyon from the house. It was about 180 yards across a canyon and Johnny dropped him with one well placed shot to the shoulder. Johnny is Felix's cousin. You may recall she killed her first javelina Friday. I think Felix's may have been just a bit bigger. Sorry Johnny. The hunting party. A view of the killing field from the house.

Oh man Jason. Everybody has an off day or two. Out of 6 days of hunting they only found pigs 3 days and only got onto pigs 2 of those days. TJ, thanks. You and your wife need to make a run up this direction sometime.
