I’m not being an butt just curious what makes these birds so special? I’m an upland hunter but have no desire to hunt these pigeons. I’m open to trying it if someone can tell me why

They’ve been there for a while. Hoping the numbers keep growing there. Randy Babb of game and fish is doing a study on them up in higher elevations. Wondering how they survive the snowy winters.
