Ok guys how do you take care of javelina after the kill. Is it the same process as any other animal such as deer, elk, ect. Also ive heard about a scent gland on there backs how do you remove it without contaminating meat. And Is there anymore glands besides the one on there back. Never hunted javelina going be my first time this week so any info appreciated. I wish someone would make a video and post on youtube on how they do it. The only one I do find is of some guy hacking off all four quarters.

Hi guys looking for your 2 cents on which power binocular would work best for me. looking to use these binos for glassing free hand as well as on a tripod from 100-1000 yards. Mostly just hunt coues. I looking for more field of view so I can see more country when glassing closer distances, I am leaning towards 8x binoculars due to the more field of view then 10x binos but would it impact my ability to spot deer bedded in thicker brush or even deer bedded in the open at say 500-1000 yards. Really would appreciate if all could give your opinions THANKS

Yeah I find it hard just to find bedded deer at 500+ yards depending on terrain. I forgot to mention I do have swarovski 15x56 for further glassing but I just want something to scan well on move and something to glass closer distance and open areas. Hi guys looking to hear how you cool down your meat after a kill. For example how would you keep meat cool if you stay at camp for a day or two after the kill.

I recently started to to pack out deer, to make it easier to get meat back to camp. But usually leave bone on meat.Should I remove bones from meat to help the meat cool faster. Also do any of you guys use dry ice to keep ice chest cooler if so how did it work out for you and how long could the meat be stored in ice chest for. This year I drew late December tag so it should be some what cold. And what does putting meat in freezer bags before putting meat in the ice chest do?
