QAD Ultrarest Hunter. No problems with it even though it doesn't have all the bells and whistles at about $80 but it works great for a hunting bow. The sight I am upgrading to is about $220 so out of the $150 price range but it is the Black Gold Ascent. It is a 5 pin sliding rest. That way I will have a 20-60 yard fixed window and be able to adjust for farther if needed to practice.

After reading most of this here are a few things to consider: Private business has already raised the age they are going to sell. Wally world has a sign that you now have to be 21 to purchase rifles, muzzleloaders, and ammunition. You have to be 21 to purchase a handgun and handgun ammunition, the 18 is only rifles and shotguns. Peckers is no longer going to sell "assault rifles". Our CCW license is only available to those over 21. I believe the age restrictions are federal laws. If so the state can't infringe on what is provided by the federal government, they can give us more rights and protections but they can't take our federal protections away. Parenting and teaching kids would be the best way to prevent this. Look at all the violent video games where you get to kill people and start over, it probably started with the generation of Mortal Kombat. We just had a murder here where the kids were 15 and 16, they stole the gun. It was a handgun they couldn't have had legally otherwise. The media has a gun ban mentality and this is what they report on. How many DWI crashes kill people and I don't see the media blaming the cars, or the alcohol, remember the 18th and 21st amendment to the constitution and how well that worked out. The governor and the state of FL are not going to be able to stop the problem. The ban is a knee jerk reaction to a problem that the fix is going to have to start in the home.

You can still put cams out around waterholes. The only power G&F has is to regulate them as to hunting. That means they can say you can't use the image off a game cam, or use it to aid you in patterning game for hunting purposes. Otherwise they have no authority to regulate them. It is up to the land use agency on how the land is used. That means each individual forest service district can set regulations on game cameras. The only national policy I know of from the FS is illegal in a wilderness area. I don't think BLM has a policy on them but you need to check with each land management agency.

What about the states that don't issue cards? NM has gone to a cardless system where you log into your Customer Identification number and it shows your hunter ed number. Mine shows my CIN #, HE#, and HE Instructor #. Besides my original HE# was issued in 1978 so I guess it is not past 1980.

Assault weapon is likely a variant to assault rifle, made up by the media. Assault rifle is a term from a DOD contract for an infantry weapon capable of selective fire, semi-auto and full auto, and firing an intermediate powered cartridge. The media likes to throw this term around to describe semi-auto only rifles even though a specification for an assault rifle per the government contract to produce them was full auto capability. The media seems to prefer running their mouths to doing their homework. The better variant would be anti-assault weapon or rifle. Because if I am being assaulted with deadly force I am using mine to stop the assault. All the Mauser 1898's my BIL had were technically "assault" weapons because they were used by military forces. That being said they are all bolt actions, with magazines less than 10 rounds.

Sent you a PM on Coues, as far as Barbary the majority of the herd is in the SE part of the state with a lot of private land. If you want to buy a year round tag look at Water Canyon over by Grants and Mount Taylor or Largo Canyon up by Farmington. There is a reason they are year round tags as there are some but not many sheep over there but small pockets of sheep if you take the time to find them.

My wife was a surprise baby. Her sister is 17 years older and her brother would be 16 years older, but he is in a vegetative state ( family fight to have life support withdrawn). One thing I know of is China is making knock off Rage heads. They almost look identical in packaging. So beware of any broad head bought off e-bay or anywhere at a steep discounted rate. Not saying this is what happened just want to put the information out there.
