Archery Hunting within 1/4 mile of a building

That's just good hunting tactics there. You would be amazed at the pockets hunters just go by to get to their honey holes in the wilderness.

    Electrician needed

Yes kitchens have a minimum of two 20 amp circuits with only 4 max. duplex receptacles on each one. If you read the K-cup maker it says it should be on a dedicated circuit, it is close to drawing 20 amps by itself. You may not necessarily have gfci's in the receptacles as they might use a gfci breaker. With the new arc fault code we usually put in combo arc fault/gfci breakers for the whole house. As stated make sure you don't run the two high amp appliances on the same kitchen circuit. Whatever you do don't increase the breaker size like some homeowners I have seen as most residential 20 amp circuits are run on #12 AWG wire, usually romex, which is only rated for 20 amps. Edit: As far as the garage going out with the kitchen that is against code as the kitchen circuits are dedicated to only the kitchen. The garage should be on a separate circuit, if it isn't then home warranty needs to fix that for you.

dirt work preparation for yard rock?

Ok , but why I here alot of no fricken plastic but not one reason besides if the sun hits it then it deterates, white people want it, ok I'm white sorry not my choice, but I did my yard 10 yrs ago and no weeds or problems. So what's the problem, no plastic but people are suggesting to illegally use diesel fuel, that's just stupid so what color of people do that. Please enlighten me, sounds like a lot of dirt experts out there Here is why not to use plastic but use a cloth weed barrier instead. When I bought my house the front yard was rocked with two small trees in it. I found out they used plastic under the rock. I have a slant to my yard down to the street and if we get a good hard rain the water has no place to go but down the plastic carrying rocks with it. The edges where water can get under the plastic is great for centipedes, scorpions and all sorts of other lovely creatures. Not a dirt expert but my experiences of having plastic. Cloth may be just as bad but it is better for the water to be able to soak into the ground rather than run off in my experience.

Archery Hunting within 1/4 mile of a building

Seems like the anti's or land owners found a way to start killing hunting. Let me explain my thought on why and this is looking at it from NM landowners point of view. A square mile is 640 acres or 25 acres by 25 acres. If I owned land side by side for a total of 25 acres I would have land 1 mile long by 1 acre deep. Now if I put a building on each corner and one in the middle on the fence line, with the 1/4 mile rule I have just shut off 320 acres with my 25. 1/4 of a mile on both sides of my fence would be 1/2 mile by 1 mile or 1/2 of a square mile. If I am a hunter or landowner, I can give access to my hunting buddies or people I sell trespass tags or LO tags to they have 320 acres that I am not giving access to for Joe Hunter. Now say my neighbor 1/2 mile down the road did the same thing and his land paralleled mine. We have just shut off 690 acres with our 50 being included. Not a good outcome for hunters and yes the anti's are deceptive enough to have thought of this.

    Muzzy sabot question

I shot the bull in my avatar with a 250 grain Shock Wave. One shot through the heart and he went 20 feet. It is all about placement and shot angle.

Archery Hunting within 1/4 mile of a building

AZ seems to have a 1/4 mile set in their mind for some reason. Setting up gun free, bow free, camera free zones sounds like CA is moving east. Sorry I feel like where pubic land meets private land is good enough. If I am on public land and your house is 50 feet from your property line, I make sure I don't shoot towards your house. You can make the "safety" argument but I am not buying it. The problem is you are trying to appease people more than use beneficial hunting practices. People get use to see what the deem "their" deer, or game species, and then a big bad hunter comes by and shoots them. You need to watch urban bowhunting from back east to understand the problems with this. Coyotes are living in cities because of the easy food source and no hunting. Pretty soon you are going to have mountain lions and wolves in the suburbs because of the easy food source. I would love to see a mountain lion or pack of wolves take down a deer in somebodies front yard.

What works better on ant hills? Set your oxy/acetylene torch to cut with the nice blue flame, perfect mixture of gases. Knock the flame out and stick the torch down a hole and leave it for as long as you can. Come back and light the torch and stick it in the hole, you will explode the whole ant hill.

Pretty good lettering too. It has a Winston Churchill quote " Success is not final, failure is not fatal, it is the courage to continue that counts".

New Mexico Elk Hunt - Access Issues

Even with the amount of State Trust land in that unit that you can't camp on, that unit is ringed by FS that you can camp on you will just have to drive a little bit. There is FS in unit 13,17,16C,16D and 21 and those all ring unit 16E.

    Toyota Tacoma vs Nissan Frontier

Can't say anything about the new ones but back in the 80's my Dad was buying Nissan and my Uncle was buying Toyotas. I got the 85 Nissan and 87 Nissan 2nd hand. Sold the 85 when I got the 87. The only difference I could tell was my Nissan towed my Uncles 66 Willys better than his Toyota, more HP. They all got over 150,000 miles on them with just routine maintenance. I had 288,000 on the 87 when I totaled it. I like the fact Nissan now has a diesel if you plan on doing much towing.

New Mexico Elk Hunt - Access Issues

To clarify we are talking about State Trust land in NM. State Trust land and BLM are different agencies that manage the land. State Trust land is administered by the State Land Commissioner to benefit schools, etc.. Here there is no camping on State Trust Land but BLM which is administered by the Feds you can camp on. The problem is when this was established we got the checkerboard. So private landowners can block off State Trust land to public access, you can't corner hop legally. They can do the same thing for any lease holder so the ranchers benefit by leasing the land which they could block off anyhow. If you want to hunt legally accessed State Trust land the primary lease holder can say " It is calving season, we are drilling a new well and it isn't safe, etc." and hunting is not happening there. Also you have crooked land deals as State Trust land that is not profitable, through state charter, must be gotten rid of. That is what happened in Unit 9 and why the elk hunting there now sucks. I can give you another example in Unit 21, not sure if it is A or B, but a corner was comprised of private, State Trust, and Forest. The road went through a mile of State Trust land and about 100 yards of private so he locked the gate until the forest was used to bypass his locked gate. He swapped land on the east side in the creosote flats that he owned for the State land by his locked gate. Now there is no way to access the forest from there so he has all that forest service land for his private clients that he sells LO tags to. As a side note the USFS closed the roads in that area under the travel management plan so you can't get in from the east side.

    Mountain Goat on Kaibab

"That would be a tricky one,I believe because its a Legal Big Game animal in a neighboring state." That is the reason I asked about the species I did. Those are Big Game species here but they are trying to keep them from expanding out of areas. Aoudad you can buy a state wide/year round license for except for the draw areas. Persian Ibex they are trying to keep on the Florida Mountains so you can buy a year round off area tag. The gemsbok they are trying to keep on WSMR so they have off range hunts. So if the laws don't address the issue what is the correct answer? What if it were a wolf rather than a mountain goat? If the G&F dept. did not reintroduce them they should be considered feral. I would not kill a mountain goat or moose just because I could under the law. I think about the best advice I was ever given...."Think about what you do if it were on the front page of the newspaper". I would hate for the anti's to have anymore ammunition.

    Low life Camera thiefs

What a fricken dirt bag, that's a dick thing to say Well feel a little sorry for Cam Bandit you guys. They have to supplement their food stamps and Obama Care somehow. If you do a IP track on their profile it comes back to a public library or school since they can't afford their own computer. One day though they can access the internet through their flip phone.

    Mountain Goat on Kaibab

Seems kind of weird they are not under state control because the only federal laws I know of are migratory waterfowl and endangered species. We have some tahr over here that escaped and are feral. That is exactly how they are treated, shoot as many as you can find with no license required.

Is that the brother who shot the "dink" 160 mule deer? The older brother as nobull was mad about it.

    Ruidoso NM?

Nice but tourist trap. Lots of Texans as has been stated. Lots of elk to be seen and deer wander the streets. The Hubbard Museum is a neat place to walk around and check out. The Corner Bakery is a good place to get breakfast and the steakhouse has a great salad bar and steaks. We only stay at the Inn of the Mountain Gods and try to get the lake view instead of the mountain view. We usually spend a few weekends down there and after two days it feels like a week.
