I haven't watched pro sports in a long time either and I really don't even know why we still need them anymore aways.... such a waste of money and they think they are so important. Who cares they all can ead... I'm done with all sport , baseball and hockey were the only ones I could even stand to watch some of. Both of my kids shoot a 6.5 CM in a ruger American predator with brake and has very little recoil. I have found that the dpms .308 brake works really well and is a good bang for its buck.

I recommend what dug said , my boy started on a semi auto youth Tristar. One shell at a time in the beginning. Very light and has very little recoil in the autos. No issues with ours yet either.

How long do you think the trip out is to hike it out? Time wise ...

Ok I have a free pair of boots hopefully to a youth hunter that can use them. Size 11 magnum work boots. Down side is the are steel toe unless you need steel toe I guess. They are actually pretty comfortable but I don't need a light insulated boot. I will pay shipping.
