HyNoon replied to HyNoon's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
Thanks az griz -
You have to keep them out of the sun if you want them to be worth any later.

What's everyone running? My boy wants to customize his rifle a little more and wants a fluted bull barrel. My first thought is for accuracy improvement and second looks. I've seen the Tactical Solutions Barrel at Cabela's , but I don't know alot about them and their accuracy. They do look nice and are a little bit spendy if you get the threaded barrel. But I thought if I was ever to put a can on a 22 it would be this one, so why not spend the extra money. I've seen other barrels such as the kidd and green mountain online as well. Looking for people with first hand experience and or knowledge of the different barrels out there. Thanks

Where are you or the knives located?

IA born , are they part of the boa family? Their heads look very similar.

Well if your trip allows for it, you can camp on the beach in San Luis Obispo at Pismo Beach. Not too sure about the rest of the way, as I drove straight there. Morrow bay is a neat place to check out while there if you end up making it that far north.

That turn out really good . Looks great.

I've always wanted a 22-250 AR as well. Seems like it would be perfect set up to me.

That silenced take down is a pretty cool concept. I don't have a take down at the moment but have thought about getting one. Thanks for the info prdatr. Lance - yes a kidd build would be very nice and very pricey not sure I won't to go that route yet. But then I would probably still want to do it later anyways , so why not do it right the first time and only have to do it once. They sell a lot of internals for the action as well that dress these guns up and improve their accuracy too. Just more money though. Stomp- thanks I will reseach some more of the barrels you have recommended and see what othe options green mountain has to offer.

Triggers too , why not?

+1 for zebco 33 my kids love them, but they can bind up after a while, so I take them to cabelas and they put new line on for free after purchase.

Op looks like a beaver , and rossi looks alot like a badger to me. Maybe a young lion or bobcat since the orbital bone isn't fused together.

Still no reason to take it way.

I really like the federal 55s in the Sierra game king bthp. But for polymer tipped the 55 noslers that Casey recommend would definitely be better than the 40s I have, due to the 40s being very light. But depends what you are using them on. -

Mine is 1 to 7 twist standard colt 6920, that bullet pretty much just disintegrates on impact and it known for not over penetrating. It's more of a home defense round as it will barely and usually does not even pass through drywall once it's went through one layer. There's a YouTube video out there floating around where guy tested it for home defense by shooting it at drywall. What issues were you having with it Casey? -

Fiocchi makes a vmax polymer tip in 40 grs. My ar15 loves them but the coyotes don't . -
Man that's a good looking ram. Way to drop the hammer on him buddy.
