Custom Glock optics and Porting
HyNoon replied to MULEPACKHUNTER's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
When I tested multiple handguns that I have had ported barrels on, they are usually around 60 ft/sec. Slower after being ported. The highest number I saw was 100 ft/sec as a loss. None significant enough to matter for a handgun and no accuracy loss either. Hope this helps, but interested to see what your before and after muzzle velocities are ? -
That and the heels ... you're unstoppable

This is the place I've always gotten my blades from for the last 25 years. Excellent customer service, and if they don't sharpen them, they probably will know where to send you. Call and check.

Nice. Ya I didn't have the garage question from hagerty, but I did when my coverage was thru American Family. I don't know who they had write the policy for them or if it was a their own or third party, buy they were the stricter one of the two. There a few other companies that offer it as well that do it a little differently. I have experience with those two companies.

O nice I'll have to try them in the SxS next trip, thanks

That's what I was thinking too.. about trying some type of weather stripping on the lid.

I've seen the big black trash bags. The polaris lock boxes are pretty good but depending on size alot of things don't fit. I saw a guy on a hunt that built an air tight wooden box in the back that he stored is bows and cameras in as well as all his glass. Good idea but takes some work. Maybe those mtn project lock boxes might work well too depending on what fits in them or where you can fit them in your SxS.

You are correct ... it can be risky if not used for intended use. I rarely drive mine on the weekends and one even has the motor out of it now but I keep the coverage for weather damages or theft attempts and what not.

Meant to quote this one. Yes it can. Again Cooper plate has nothing to do with it. It's ess5 a vanity plate if your vehicle is old enough. The insured provides the waiver to the mvd and you don't have to get emissions.
-
Yes it does.. I've done it for 4 of mine.
-
Also this... insurance is key. It can be insurance as classic/ collecter car insurance which will waive the emissions once the insurance provides the mvd with the information that you have that coverage. Their are alot of "restrictions " that the insurance company tells you that you have to follow or abide by, age might be one of them. Mileage limitations, garage kept, and usually have to provide photos of the vehicle. I also had them ask for a picture of my garage once as proof from one company. Copper historic vehicle plate will not qualify you to be emissions exempt.

You can check the internet but I think it's about 1 to 5 ratio per gallon. Then you fuel up as soon as you are done running it thru the sniffer. So you want to have a low tank. That way you don't have to put a bunch in and you can dilute it afterwards.

I've done the alcohol trick many times.

Screen shot your photos you took and you should be able to post those as they should be a little lower quality and smaller memory size. That should work.... key word... should work. Hope this helps.
