  1. Went on the WMAT side and googled a spot we have been trying to get to for years. We call it White Bluffs, between lost mule creek and georges basin creek. Took us awhile to find due to over growth on the 2 tracker road. Went to the end at the edge of the canyon and could see the bluffs. First mistake we let the river call us down there!!!! was about a mile down a canyon face with little to no trail. Finally got down to the water and its a long shear wall canyon with swift water and deep pools. Sounds like paradise right!!! Untill the hike back out. It was horribly steep and long, almost didnt make it out, and Im in pretty good shape I thought. OH the fishing was awsome!! Never again though

  2. In regards to the pump station. The road does NOT go down to the river. You have to camp on top and trek a trail down and back up each day. It is no longer owned by Phelps dodge mining and is run by the tribe. The area is fenced off and gated to the housing area but a roasd is still there to the trail head. It was pretty trashy last year. Bets bait is live crawdads and Helgramites if available. Small spinners ,spoons or plastic grubs work also. Going for an exploritory black river trek on the white mtn apache side this weekend myself. Always looking for new river to fish!!!!

  3. Hey Roosevelt Mark, I think I chatted with you on the lake while you and another boat were fishing by each other. Had my wife and dog with me me in a center console Nitro. Next time I will yell Mark real loud see if you turn LOL.  Good to see your face and know now who to look for LOL.

I have the PanOptix setup myself, but its definitely hard to stay above those crappie and see your Jig consistently. All I caught was a tank of a CARP

Hope to meet up with you out there someday and maybe a tip.

Hey CouesPursuit Glad to hear about that motor. Im happy its working well for you. Any Walleye lately?

  4. Well the crappie have been being caught at Rosey lately. But not by me lol. The ones catching them are using livescopes and hovering over the schools in about 20 feet over brush.  Then like a sniper on call of duty drop it on their heads and take em out. Talked with 2 guys out there they each had 12-15. If anybodys hearing anything at other lakes give us a shout. Maybe even San Carlos might be good this year ???

So Happy New Year and Happy Hunting

  6. My Bad, it was Willow springs and Woods canyon lakes. Never fished them till the busiest weekend lol. We did hit Black canyon lake , but the water level was so low you couldn't launch a boat, at least not a real boat. We did hit Hawley and Reservation and they both were dead. Will have to hit them later when it cools down. Good luck all

  7. Went to Black Canyon and Willow springs lakes over the holiday weekend. Bumper boats too say the least!!!  But we got on the water at daylight and stayed till the crowds run us off. Game and fish show a probability of 1 in 8000 chance of catching the elusive Tiger trout ( cross of brown and brook trouts ) Well we caught 4. Here's a pic of what they look like. We also caught a lot of 20-23" Rainbows. Amazing weekend.IMG_1743.jpg.4654001d1556b0089a885d0f51047aaa.jpgIMG_1747.jpg.d48b130291fd28e73bc583ef7d6910af.jpg

  8. Went out the nights of the 10th and the 24th. Tried 3 locations on the 10th by cover in 15 to 20 foot of water and marked fish on the graph. Fished minnows and jigs, Not one bite. Fished last weekend in Sally Mae cove along the high bank in 40 to 50 foot with minnows and jigs and caught one crappie. Lots of minnows and shad around the lights but no bites??? Caution you to bring enough warm cloths, outside air says 65 -70 degrees but feels like 32 around 2-3 o'clock in the morning. LOL

    Good luck let us know

  9. Just got back Saturday night from 4 days at Pacheta camp ( left road out of Ten of Diamonds ) about 3 miles down river with 4 river crossings. My first time to this location, I've frequented the up river side with 6 crossings many times. Lots of people even midweek camping , but not really hard core fishing? Beautiful camping area. The river going up or down has ALOT of rapids because of elevation drop and very few good holes to fish. Caught on average 15 smallies a day, but were quality fish. 2-3 pounds . Seen one guy with a 24" big healthy Brown on a stringer also. This area was quality not quantity most definitely. To easy of access for my liking, hence the amount of people.

  10. Ive seen Facebook pictures from Big Lake lately and its still iced over completely ??? Has anybody been keeping an eye on them at all. I know the roads are supposed to open this Friday, but it has been a hard winter, and lots of snow. Would love to here from you guys any info for up there. Its the best time to hit it for big ones if you can handle the extreme cold in a boat. Thanks
