Thanks fellas, hope you all had a good day.

I’m good with people shooting mine whenever they want. Just leave them so we all can enjoy them haha.

I drilled two holes and welded nuts to them for threads. Those two bolt tighten the bracket up against the flat part of the t-post. The center bolt is actually positioned so you can drill a hole through the t-post and double nut a bolt to prevent someone who isn’t packing tools around from sterling the plate. You don’t have to use it. The top bolt with the spring is where I mount my plate. The plate goes between the two washers by the head of the bolt and the spring gives the plate a little flex on impact and also keeps the plate pushed out so it isn’t leaning. I need to paint my plates again so I’ll take a picture later with them mounted.

I might have a bracket at home I’ll take a picture in a few minutes.

Haha I don’t want to jinx myself but ya that’s always a possibility. They are 15 minutes from my house so I shoot a bunch but if the forest is closed or when lots of hunts are going on I’ll paint them tan and sometimes I have a hard time finding them haha.

I built a bracket to mount to a T-Post. During fire season or hunting season I’ll paint my targets tan so they don’t stick out.

3/8 ar500 handles everything I’ve thrown at it up to 300 rum. Steel starts at 500 yards. bought mine from industrial metal supply down in the valley.

You can use black plastic to cover and help kill the grass. We’ve sprayed and covered with black plastic and it worked well. Agree that I wouldn’t lay rock over it.

I take my boys to bashas for pizza by the slice. Pretty good stuff.

I use the claw as well. When in hillsides or steep angles it’s hard to beat. I get my butt kicked though unless I use some type of support for the rear.

@naturebob did landscaping for a couple years. Might be worth getting ahold of him.

If you want to stay around that $100 mark you probably aren’t going to find anything better than a Harris.

I use modular evolution. Depends what you want to spend

You are my hero. Good luck this year.
-
You are a tool, Richard. Show me where I “claimed” a 2019 bull wasn’t 400” as advertised.
-
You, Chief, are the one trying to spin things. I said a lot of bulls these days are said to be 400”. The only proof I have of them being 400” are the people that say they are 400”. I couldn’t tell you whether they are or not and I don’t deserve any proof but if guys would put score sheets with there pictures it would be a cool way to learn what a bull actually scored and be better at field judging them.
-
I would love to see score sheets so “people like me” could be better educated when field judging elk.
-
Is there an additional fee if non hunters come along?
-
People post scores with score sheets now lol
-
Can you really believe any scores?
-
Can I please have pictures
-
Haha ya they are pretty big. Pictures drive me crazy though. Some local guys killed a giant that went 393 and there pictures make the bull barely look 360s. But yes, those gov bulls this year particularly do look pretty impressive.
