Bummer of a deal you can't get em anymore. I think it's hard anymore to shy away from a diesel, car or truck. Having your cruise control stay put going downhill is worth owning a diesel to me haha. Too many dps officers at the bottom of the hill -

Buy a diesel -
Not bad at all. What you will find with Toyos and nittos is that the prices will change drastically depending on how many tires are available in the state. I would say you have done well. Especially for an 18" rim

No experience here but I would definitely look into a lightweight bivy, something from borah maybe, to keep the critters out of your bag.
