Bravo buddy! I'm glad you got your hound back! What a beautiful dog and most definitely taken care of. I give you credit for not snapping on that lady; I would've ripped her dang doors off her vehicle and let my dog jump right in my truck.. lol I'd get them chipped or some type of tracker collar.

Man.. very cool look to these snakes but I'm terrified of them; probably since I don't know much about them. I choose to eat and use all that I can bear when I kill anything. It would be nice to find a nice snake to harvest and perhaps find something cool to use the skin for. Perhaps a hat band? or maybe a handle of a knife? How about you guys? What cool things do you do with the skin?

Agreed. I still can't believe why anyone would just dump their dogs... They are the most loyal and loving animals I've ever met. If I could I would take them all in.. haha.

First off, congrats on a successful hunt! Now, even better, congrats on being a great father and role model by incorporating your child in the things you do! Before you know it, your kid will be filling tags while you take the pictures... haha

What a beautiful creature! I'm always surprised on how the wildlife is able to survive and wander this environment without even making the tiniest of noises.

Just curious, what are "appropriate" reactions if you end up right next one? I've been very fortunate so far but I wouldn't even know what to do if I got on top of one. No sudden movements and a .45 to the snakes head... ? lol I was thinking I could just keep my trekking pole infront of me and use that as a type of guard.

Well done! I personally have an issue with large crowds.. even worse when it's a ton of hunters in one area.. It makes it a challenge for me to even enjoy my hunt with all the dang noise going around. Well done on dealing with the hunting pressure and finding a nice buck to shoot while taking your son for the experience. That is truly awesome! Again... well done and congrats on being a good role model for your son.
