HECK YAAAA!!! Dang adam, you are on fire my friend! Great job! -
If your pilot light isn't lighting or staying lit you may want to look into replacing the thermocouple. Should cost around $20.00 and less than an hour for installation.

LOL... I'm not surprised. Unfortunately, people lack the intelligence to think "outside the box" to solve a problem. They want to limit deer so they limit their reproducing abilities instead of just letting people reduce their numbers? Anyway, I'm definitely curious and would love the opportunity to go down there and see for myself how "bad" it is.

Things your huntin buddies do that drive you nuts : )
TonyC replied to twigsnapper's topic in The Campfire
Yes, I'm the same way. I find that I have more success walking nice and slow and taking my time.. couple steps or so and stop, and a few more, stop.. etc...especially when I know something maybe in the area. I truly enjoy taking my time and even sitting up at a spot to overlook the land. I find that taking my time puts me in the right mind set to slowly look over everything and be more aware of my surroundings. I find a lot of cool stuff when I take my time compared to when I'm focused on marching up a hill as fast as I can. -

Just wanted to vent a bit with people who can probably relate. My friend, a very nice guy and has helped in numerous ways... can be so dang stubborn it's ridiculous. We usually hunt together all the time which I usually enjoy the company especially the increased safety factor. However, lately, it's always been whatever he wants to do, where he wants to go, and so on... Well opening day for dove was a huge failure.. if he would've listened to me and headed to my spot we both would have limited out. (Sigh) What do you guys do when you face a stubborn hunter friend set in his ways no matter how wrong he might be?! ... haha -
Very cool! That last picture looks like it could be blown up and hung on a wall as an art peice.

Looking for a Guide
TonyC replied to azbackwoods's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
I used to never knew anything about hunting.. I did plenty of shooting in the military and childhood but no hunting experience. It was very confusing trying to figure everything out on my own at first but once exposed to the hunt, it all "clicked" and now I can go on my own. If he is near me sometime, I will gladly take him along to shoot some dove. It's easy, fun, and a great way to start hunting. -
Love it! What an incredible slide show of pictures!

Lol.. with the right approach and technique you can dang near take any vehicle ANYWHERE.. My truck broke down during a javi hunt and I resorted to my mini van.. yes.. a MINI VAN! So .. how did I get the van out in the mountains? ... I brought along very large wood beams to lay down over ditches and simply drove right over.. haha It was indeed, a PITA.. but, I was able to still get out there. The main point to my story is accommodate to what your vehicle may lack. It never hurts to have an extra tire, tools, some digging stuff, and whatever else you may have learned from MacGyver.

Life is truly an intriguing thing and the fact that we all have freedom to choose what to do with our life is even more intriguing. Although I'm only 27 years of age.. I've witnessed more death, suicides, and just down-right "evil" moments than most people would be exposed to in their lifetime.. I, myself, suffer from numerous medical problems which most people would never have to deal with until their late 50's or later. It's certainly easy to look at all of these things as a negative experience but with a "trained" mind, you can alter the way you think and improve the quality of your life. I've read a TON of self-help books and self-empowerment books... but it all dang near states the same thing.. " Your mind is the strongest tool you have" I hope the best for everyone out there and would love to hear about how people stay optimistic, positive, and happy. God bless.

I was going to state my opinion but I'm sure a lot of people share it. Plus, It's not site-friendly. Anyways, It's ridiculous to have to even deal with such a problem.

Very promising. Great pictures.

My prayers are out there. I also believe I know a friend who deals with this as a parent. I will see if i can locate him and get some info. Best of luck to your nephew. God bless.

I would see if you could rent or borrow an ATV or something to allow you to access points without having to walk to far. It's just food for thought.
