I love the hiking path out near canyon. You can view a lot just hiking around the lake. Last hike, I almost stomped on a family of skunks. Luckily, it was brought to my attention when my dog started barking .. haha. *phew* saved me from a "stinky situation"

It's a shame that you can't trust a dang soul anymore. People get "hungry" when put in hard times. Understandable.. but you would think that they would simply try to work harder for an honest living than scam others.

Man... I admire a good rack like that! What a beauty and it's already been polished for the wall. haha.

I plan on setting them both up on game trails that go in to a water hole. But ill be setting them 100 to 150 yards away from the water. This will be a risk you will have to take... I personally wouldn't leave the stand there since it is near the water plus I'm sure it is easy to identify. If you can afford to take the risk financially and emotionally then go for it. Either way, congrats to the winner! I believe DCA is a great organization and look forward to their future raffles/events. A few mistakes may have been made on both parties however forgiveness is key; along with the underlining cause of what the raffle is about. As hunters and children of god, we shouldn't be consumed with putting our money into raffles just for a prize but the understanding that our money will go to help others. Merry Christmas to you all and a Happy New Year! I look forward to being apart of the "Coues whitetail family" another year.
