they do make a 6.5 creedmoor http://www.cabelas.com/product/Tikka-T-X-Compact-Tactical-Rifle-CTR-Bolt-Action-Rifles-ndash-Blued-Black/2317941.uts I have been looking at that CTR for a little bit now in 6.5. I really want it, just not sure it's worth the $$ yet or not. I have the tikka ctr in 6.5 creedmore and it is a fantastic 1/2 Moa out of the box rifle.

20k on a set of tires? sounds like your right foot is a little heavy.

I have set up a 1x4 board drilled some holes to accept golf tees and places different size gum ball all the way to a q-tip and match stick. It was a blast to see that we all could hit it at varying distances. Even people who dont shoot were able to hit the match stick and take the fuzz off the q-tip.

That's awesome congratulations I hope to have a opportunity some day

You know I have been thinking this is kind of like hunters who use their scoped rifle to check out other hunters. But I,m sure no one who has posted on this has ever done that. Signed, Concerned diesel owning, gun toting, bicycle riding, hunting fool, who just thinks we should all have more patience and understanding in hobbies we do not share.

I was looking at the g7 nightforce for this exact reason. I shot my gun this year in my area before my hunt and found seven clicks right at 700 yards to my zero. Seems that happens with exposed turrets and in and out of scabard on my vortex not so much and the swaro x5i.

I was in search of one for a while and glad I went with the tikka ctr instead. No regrets and got to keep a few bucks in my pocket as well.

I used to ride road bikes and it is a great way to get in shape for hunting. I prefer to mountain bike now and get away from the guys who are commenting negatively on this thread. Give them room and treat them with respect on the roadways.

I prepared the coues heart this year by trimming off the pericardium after quartering, clean out the blood and fibri stuff. Salt, garlic, onion, green chili, and olive oil and tie it back together like it was before trimming and quartering. Salt and olive oil outside of heart and place in oven preheated to 350l and bake to 150-155 and remove from oven and let rest for 10 min. Slice and enjoy even my picky wife liked it. Very tender and rich meat the texture was melt in your mouth.

Was there three years ago and had 18 inches of snow and ice. Used chains on all four truck wheels and mad it in and out with 30 foot toy hauler. Their were some guys who slid off the road with trailer but it was unusually cold and snowy on that hunt.

Good luck guys! I had the dec hunt and my dad had the turkey day hunt last year and it was tough. Keep moving and stay away from the crowds lots of bulls in there but they hide real well.

Congrats on a great adventure with a great pay off!

Good luck with both adventures

i,m using the superformance powder in 6.5 creedmoor and picked up 75 fps over h4350 in a 20" barrel. I have no idea if that helps out any just thought i would share. -
I have used autos for years and would love a o/u. I used a remminton 1100 for years and switched to a Benelli three years ago and it is awesome, light weight, and cycled any ammo I have tried.

have some of the other lines and it is fantastic

Here I am 2 days before the election with a heavy heart wondering if this country will turn around and head in a direction that will make a future for my children to be proud of. I pray for a leader that will be lead by Gods word and lead us in a direction that will keep us safe, prosperous, and be a example our children will have to compare to a leader as I do this time to Ronald Reagan. True change to lead us down a path of reckoning and revival by example of a man changed by God. Amen Terry Conaway

No problems with buddy heaters but i would keep co2 sensors and propane sensors up to date they do expire.
-
I used cardboard around the bottom with a heater underneath on late elk hunts. I like the idea of using hot water on shower side to recirculate into the tank and keep from freezing. Keep the cold and wind out from under the trailer. I also use buddy heaters to keep me warm inside the trailer and turn the trailer heatr to the lowest setting. I tried to heat the trailer with the on board heater and used up two five gallon/30 pound tanks of propane in 1-1/2 days. It was -18 and blizzard conditions a couple of the mornings.

I had many family members in the different branches and none have seen combat on the front lines and made it home. Peace be with all the family's and men who struggle with problems related to PTSD it has affected many. Thanks to all the veterans.
