good luck i helped on that hunt 5 years ago and it was nasty cold and icy. did find the.

That looks great. I just lay the chain over the top of the tire and hook the bottom inside and then hook the outside cam and tighteners. Drive a few hundred yards and then adjust chain tension. Make sure to take tie wire and tie the loose chain ends. That trick would not have worked a few years ago I had my tow hauler hooked up and lost momentum on the ice and started to slide. Ended up backing and sliding into the ditch had to put chains on to get out. It was pretty hairy.

Looks good You say ok I say refine and retry!

I just seperate the muscles and get to the bone and use tip of the knife and peel around the bone till free and leave it all attached and put into a game bag. usually the inside of the leg is easiest/closest to the bone.

I have only had it once with beef at a restaurant. It is a very difficult preparation to cook correctly but I think elk would definitely be a perfect meat to do it with! If you do keep us informed with details

Use something to keep heat under the trailer and wind and air from sweeping under the trailer. I was up in 6b and froze about four years ago. Figured out seal to ground around the trailer and place a heat source under trailer to keep it warm and you should be fine. Keep a few gallons in trailer for safe keeping. Just in case. Big buddy heaters work great and provide a lot of heat.

Awesome. I assume you are not injured but have a deer down. No picture other than bloody boots. Did your hunting buddies piss you off?

Those are large pieces of lumber. If it was my project I would not fill those in they add character. I would get some aresol cans of clear urethane and spray the cracks and attempt to seal it as best as you can. For the top there used to be bar top sealer that put a thick coating on but I haven’t done a lot of wood work for 15 years

watch the you tube videos of how to install made it easier but my neighbor who drives a semi was able to inform me of what to look out for.
-
chains are easier to install than a wheel/tire combo i would install chains when needed. also the rear wheels are typically where chains would go. make sure and have tighteners and stop after a mile of driving and recheck tension. Also carry a little mechanics or bailing wire and tie the ends of the chains to prevent them from hitting the body. I had a late hunt 4 years or so ago near flagstaff and would have lost truck and trailer off the road if i didnt have chains. I ran them on all four wheels of the truck anytime i was not on asphalt and i was able to go anywhere i wanted. The same trip multiple guys slid off the road and damaged trucks and trailers. I ended up pulling a few out of the snow and ice

If you have a aftermarket transmission shop try to get one to adjust it. What year is it? In 2005 06 they went to a tv motor controlled by the computer. They are known to need to be replaced when trans fails if it is earlier should be a cable. After having the valve body replaced that many times I would think it is adjustment or bad tv motor.
-
did you have the transmission o-hauled? why do you need to back it off?
