    Ford lift installation

Saguaro alignment does most of the lifts for the dealerships in Phoenix.
  2. My rifle does have a 1:10 twist, my load shoots the 200 Swift at 2950fps.
  3. Anyone with experience using the Barnes LRX .30 cal 200gr ? I bought a box of these bullets and will be loading them for my .300 win mag. My gun has a magazine box of 3.6" and a long throat. I have a good load using a 200 gr Swift that uses 75gr of R22, Winchester case and CCI 250 primer loaded to 3.55 oal. The LRX is a lot longer bullet.

    Name that gun!

Anyone? Your gun is a Stevens model 350 but it could have anyone of several different names on the gun. Steven made those guns for several different retailers that each gave the gun their own name. This gun is not to be confused with the recent Stevens model 350 which is a cheap pump gun. Here is what one looks like in good condition:

    NM Antelope

Here is the story; I drew a tag in NM unit 13 for the Handicap hunt, there were 10 tags for the unit. There is a large ranch that is owned by the RMEF and operated by the state that is open to public hunting and has good access so I decided to start there. As it turns out most of the other tag holders decided to do the same thing. I watched several other hunters take bucks and in the afternoon the area finally started to quiet down. I had a decent opportunity to kill a very unusual buck whose horns looked like a whitetail with only a main beam, his horns spread out wide and then curved forward, the horns were long but very thin. Another hunter came up on us a buggered them so I decided to keep looking. Late in the afternoon I glassed the buck I shot bedded down in a swale, only his horns and forehead could be seen above the grass. He was relatively close to a road but out of sight of it. We watched from a 1/2 mile away as several trucks went down the road without knowing he was there. The trick to hunting from a wheelchair is to figure out how to get yourself into a position where you have an opportunity without running the thing off. We continued to watch from afar and he seemed very relaxed in his bed, several trucks came and went while we watched without spooking him so we made a plan. We drove around until we cut the distance to about 600 yards and watched him some more. We studied the landmarks and then drove down the road until we thought we were opposite the buck, pulled off the road and got ready. After few minutes of looking I found him again glassing, only the tips of his horns were visible. We got into position me with my rifle and my buddy Larry with the rangefinder, and waited. About a half hour later the buck stood up looked at us and started slowly walking away. He stopped and Larry ranged him at 335 then he started moving again, a few steps more and he stopped again. Larry said 339 and I held for that distance and touched off a shot. I lost him with the recoil and Larry flinched and lost him too. There was nothing out there, all was quiet and still. We waited about 10 minutes and headed out to where he had been, when we got about 250 yards out I spotted a patch of white and put my binos up and there he was, he had dropped right in his tracks. I was shooting a Weatherby Classic Mark V with a Zeiss 3.5x10 scope in 7mm mag shooting a hand loaded Barnes TTSX 140 gr and 74 gr of R22 at 3260 fps.

    Easy fix or PITA?

I had a 2004 and a 2005 both had this issue. There are guys that do a mobile repair for this service, it costs about $300 to do the whole gauge panel (recommended) or $125 per gauge.

  20. There is no such thing as a 16ga 3" shell
  21. I am so stoked, I won the lottery trifecta! I drew early 16a rifle bull elk, 13 Antelope and late 13 Mule deer. I love the fact that NM has avoided bonus points, I appreciate knowing that I have the same chance at drawing as everyone else each year. In my opinion, all the bonus point system does is make everyone wait longer to get a tag and keep the coffers full while everyone tries to accumulate points.

    WTB or trade for a A. H. Fox 20 or 16 gauge

I have an AH Fox AE grade 16ga with two sets of barrels. The gun was built in 1912 and was the 11th 16ga built by Fox, serial number 300011. The gun was originally delivered with a set of 26" IC&M barrels and was returned to the factory later and a set of 30" M&F barrels and beavertail forearm were added to the gun. Somewhere along the way the gun was restock in nicely figured American walnut and extensive checkering similar to a D grade. PM me if interested.

    7mm loads

I shoot a load of 70gr of R22 with a 140 Barnes TTSX in Winchester case with a CCI 250 primer. In my rifle the bullets are seated out to a 3.39" oal. This load shoots 3260 fps in a 24" barrel.

    Rifle Appraisal

Your rifle is a Mauser Kar 98, the configuration is known as the Karbiner or short rifle as evidenced by the turned down bolt handle, sling mounts on the left and shorter barrel length(standard rifles had a 28" barrel). Your rifle is a small ring action, the KAR 98 was built on both the small ring and large ring action.Look closely at the crest on the front receiver ring for a clue the origin and date of mfg. These rifles were built by several different manufacturers, especially during wartime. Because of the alterations and condition, your gun does not have a high value. I have attached a pic of what the gun looked like in original form. The small ring actions are sought after for building custom rifles.
