I wondered how long it would take for excuses to flow. No excuses. U of A has more talent and size than ASU. For now.

Have a Davis 14x16, no floor, internal frame. Front door , back door, window on each side. Great tent, and I can set it up by myself. I wish I had sleeves at the eaves so I can have an extended frame for a covered canopy. Not flame resistant, but it sounds like a good idea. 14x16 with a stove is good for 4 people max in my opinion.

5bs and 8 early archery bull with 5 points=another coveted bonus point for me. High odds for 2 grandsons youth tags- super excited about that!

Stinkapottamus are about the only thing you absolutely will get to hunt every year. Fun to hunt, challenging to find, ok if you make them into chorizzo. They even make me feel like I'm a good bowhunter.

Who is taking the kids out to chase pigs this weekend?
tomharveyb replied to rossislider's topic in Youth Hunters
Spent a day and a half in 20c with my 2 grandsons. Had to go home Sat. PM . After seeing pigs every time out during archery season, couldn't find them. One more 1 day trip next Saturday . Fingers crossed. Kill or no kill, still had a great time in the outdoors! -

20c for 2 grandsons. Their Dad doesn't hunt or fish , so I feel it's my obligation to get them started. Hope we can get it done, so they'll be hooked! -
When do you expect the results to come out? cards hit 3/16 at 7 a.m.

tomharveyb replied to AZ RANGER's topic in The Campfire

Alaska Trip Help (updated with trip report pics)
tomharveyb replied to AZ RANGER's topic in The Campfire
$1300 will get you flowin in from Anchorage to a river within an hour flyong time. Includes flight, pickup, camp gear. You buy license and get to Anchorage. Great way to get away from crowds but is very weather dependant. Too much rain- high, fast water. Too little rain and you're dragging your raft half the way. Done it 5x and had some great trips and some where water was way too high and fast. -
Great write up. Kudos to your Dad for getting around at 77 and getting it done!
