Congratulations!! Never complain that your hunt was over too quickly. I logged 191 hours in a blind and never had an opportunity. Still trying to draw again tho.

Actually I came from a f250 to a 2500 ram and don’t hate it at all. The Ford was the 2nd worst vehicle i’ve Ever owned!

With all the mayhem going on ...looting,rioting,killing and hatred, I thought I would pass along something positive. On July 4 (yesterday), I went to Sportsman’s Warehouse and picked up some gear for a camping trip coming up. I got home and realized my wallet was missing. After a quick search in my truck , backtracking the few places i’d been, I raced back to the store. I looked in the parking lot where I had parked, and then went to customer service and asked if anyone had turned in a wallet. YES!, someone had found it- it fell out of my packet while getting in my truck, and turned it in. $65 in cash and 7 credit cards intact. To whoever you are...thank you!!! It’s so good to know there are still people out there who are honest and will do the right thing.

I had 9 points, put in for Kaibab cow bison and wasn’t drawn, so no guarantee with a point or two.

Driving a 18 ram 2500 with Cummins. Zero issues . Had a f250 before . I spent close to 15k keeping it running and was facing a $5500 repair when I said enough already. Bought the ram for one reason.....Cummins.

I have a ranger. Buddy has a pioneer 1000. I’m looking for a Honda now. Very nice machine, can seat 5 and isn’t like driving a train around like a ranger crew

I did a caribou hunt in Ak in 2014. Flew to Anchorage, then to Kotzebue, then small bush plane into Brooks range with Northern Air Trophy. Back then a tag was $325 and you could buy 2. I think it’s $625 now and can only buy 1. Our hunt was outfitted with gear and food- drop off, see ya later. Filled tags in 2 days, cost about 5k each total -airfare , outfitter, tags, misc including hotel one night. Fun to do once. I’ll probably never do another.

So i’m Trying to figure out what the new order means. Mainly....can I go camping? To the lake? Turkey hunting and camping for a week? It’s pretty vague when outdoor recreation is listed as an essential activity. To my way of thinking camping fishing hunting are extreme social distancing . I just don’t want to be all packed up to go camping and then get pulled over and told to go home.

I got antlered diddly squat tag-9 years and counting. Son got unit 8 muzzy cow. Grandson got 4a youth so i’m Still happy as can be!

I got a hit today for $50!! Don’t know that happened but i’ll Take it. Grandson and I are hunting elk in October!! Wahooo

The draw is coming up in a couple months. I’m at the point in my hunting life (70) where I am likely to get one more early archery bull hunt. After that, I plan to put in for whatever cow hunt gives me the best chance to hunt elk. I have 8 points and according to toprut can draw 6a or 6b and am likely to draw 8. I have been a 5b south guy but am tired of the wait. Not a trophy hunter. Would like a respectable 6x6. What are you guys thoughts? Open to other units but these 3 are in reach now.

Thanks for the input guys. I’m definitely reconsidering sticking with 5b south. Tough to go another year without an elk tag though. Previously i’ve Never gone more than 5 years. Either i’ve been lucky or the game is changing-a lot!
