I never knew.. Some rattlesnakes do actually show arboreal tendencies. The timber rattlesnake, the real one, not the ones people mistakenly call "timbers" out here, seems to exhibit it more than others but dang... Going to have to look up a bit more now during the summer hunts in the mornings..

Report from Heats trip.. Captain Jeff Spafford on the Outrider out of Fisherman’s Landing in San Diego, CA called in a wrap up report for Day 1 of our 2.5 Day Charter. We got into some pretty good fish yesterday and boated 10 Bluefin Tuna up to 80 pounds. Majority of them are in the 20 to 40 pound range and had a couple of 60 and 70 pounders plus 1 around 80 pounds.

Between Covid, the Bush fire and the Tonto closure, no.. A few ramps are open if you want to launch a boat though. Existing Covid closure order ends 6:00PM on July 31. Keep an eye out for any additional orders. Tonto closure is through July 31.

Interesting.. Would definitely change things: However if 1 person puts in with 1 point and ONLY 10 other people put in with 20 points, Mr. 1 point guy is now 4000/1 odds to draw 1 tag. If only 10 people at each point level, up to 20 points put in, (200 people total) it's 1 in 28,700 per tag. I sure wouldn't have put in with those odds. lol The #'s are ish as I didn't exclude the 1 guy. (I'm not bored enough to redo it)

I don't want max point holders to all be able to surrender tags year after year on a stretch of bad growth years yet remain max point holders. IMO, point guard is great insurance against unexpected events that can and do happen in life, not a way to get cut in line every year regardless until everything is perfectly aligned. The fact that you can buy a point if things have happened prior to the draw and surrender 1 tag after the draw seems more than fair to me.
