A big shout out and a 2nd vote for Phoenix Fishing. Just left there and Ted wouldn't sell me a new reel. He says my reel is plenty for fish up to 250# with the right rod. So I bought a new rail rod. Not many people will talk you out of handing over 700.00 when you really really want to give it to them.

About to order a Penn 30 VISX reel but thought I'd see if someone had one they would rather turn into cash first. Could maybe go down to a 20 but nothing smaller. Not committed to Penn, just needs to be a decent reel. Don't need another rod but I said that about 4 spare rods ago so another one isn't out of the question.. Thanks in advance.

Does anyone know what PSI is generated in the engine by the impeller? And maybe more importantly, how much is too much before risking hurting something? Contemplating adding an electric pump to the mix to operate at low rpms. I just don't trust the flow from the impeller when putting around. I replace it every year but thinking adding an auxiliary pump would give me some piece of mind. Anyone ever added one?

+1 I have two of these connected by a cable, no module, and you can run them independently using the same transducer, each on their own or quickly change with a few taps. It will interface with your phone, Garmin trolling motor and a bunch of other stuff. Of course the Live view works with it too if you like video game fishing. If you have the $$$..

I'm going tomorrow, Saturday, to chase em. No clue where to go but if we get into them, I'll give a shout out. I hate trolling but will be logging some miles watching the screen... RESULTS: Sucked. Couldn't get a single crappie to bite when finding what I think was them on the graph so decided to go park with all the other boats in the Tonto end. Lots of sad stories from other people and the most I heard of caught was 3. I caught 1 slab and a few bass and my brother caught a 5#'r on a minnow so not a total loss but it sounds like we definitely should have gone to Alamo.. Other than a bit of wind in the afternoon, a perfect day to be on the lake.
