Even though he's a great dog he's not what we wanted. Deciding to find him a GOOD home instead. He's still a puppy even though he is big. He's probably about 4 months st this point. His DNA results came back as 40-50% Staffordshire terrier, 40ish % bull terrier and like 11% collie. He's great with the kids although he's kind of an oaf and doesn't know how big he is and knocks the 2 year old kid over. You can push him and climb on him while he's sleeping and he never growls or snaps. Likes to be wherever people are so I don't know how he would be as an outside dog or alone while your at work. He may be fine I just don't know. He does like to wake us up around 5am by walking all over our faces and sticking his nose right in your eyes. Likes to sleep on the bed with us or the kids. He has a really sweet happy demeanor and have had no issues with him for the most part. The only issue really has been as he gets bigger hes gotten more aggressive towards the other to over food. It may be only establishing dominace but just a fair warning. I did read staffordshires are better as only dogs. Outside of the food thing the dogs get along with each other fine andmplay well together. When we got him we never crate trained him at all. He on his own went through the doggie door to do his business. We were amazed, he is definately a smart dog. He has peed in the house a few times but with some actual crate training I'm sure he will be good to go. He is fixed and is scheduled for a rabies shot yet which is free. It's scheduled for the 17th of this month. Will give you any dog accessories we have and the crate that the pound gave us for him. All we care about is that he goes to a loving home. Shoot me a text 520-227-6720 Pics in next thread

We fostered him for the pound since he was too young to be with gen pop. They thought he was a catahoula which made us want to possibly keep him so we just adopted him and went and got the DNA test done. We figured even if he wasnt we would save him and find him a good home still. We got the results which showed he wasn't even close so we're going to find him a home before he's full grown. The other factor was the aggression between the two dogs. We've had the Boston for years and if they ultimately can't get along it's only fair to find the new dog a different home.

Any one here have any experience with this breed. We were asked to foster this little guy until he's able to be in the kennel with the bigger dogs. I think it might have been a ploy of my wife's friend who asked her to keep him for awhile but with the sinister motive to trick us into falling in love with it and adopting him. Anyone know by looking at him if he is this breed? My first thought when i saw him was he looked like a terrier of some sort which i dont think is right for the breed but im not sure. My wife already named him Ruger so I can see the direction this is heading. And I have to admit I kind of like him already.

Although he is a really great and sweet dog, if I'm gonna break my own rule of no more dogs I at least want it to be a hunting dog. Which this dog could turn out to be but I don't want to invest a bunch of time or money into it. Results came in as something like 40-50% staffordshire, 30% bull terrier and like 11% border collie. He has a great temperment and is always happy. There is a power struggle between him and our little old boston terrier when food is involved. But overall hes a great dog. Maybe a good idea for him to be an only dog though, however when food is ot involved he gets along with the other dog just fine. He learned to use the doggy door and went potty outside WITH ZERO TRAINING! He's definitely smart. Will be posting him up in the classifieds.

I think he's referring to the photo posted by Couser. The one You posted is most definitely Bob. I wonder if the old timer from N Dakota killed. He was the only one left in camp when I headed out.

Congrats. You set the bar way to high though!

I'm really curious where all in the state they are supposed to be. Never heard of or seen any along the San Pedro. I know someone who killed a couple in the bootheel of NM not far from Rodeo. He says he knows there are some near Douglas. Seems pretty easy to believe. I'm planning on taking a pass on javelina this year and taking that time to go try to find some of these hogs in NM.

Don't get a one size fits all, they are a pain. Go here.... https://www.phoneskope.com Pick your phone, then pick your optic. They connect together and put them right on your binos or spotter.
-
Yup, look like hogs. However if they had been javi, they are opportunist so it wouldnt be real weird to see one with a dead animal in its mouth.

Great bucks! Welcome to the forum.

Great video. I didn't think John Ladd let people on his ranch, good to know. This video just helped out some of the 30b access issues.

Man, it was indescribable. Sheer panic and jubilation at the same time. I was thrown out of a life of selfishness and worry free living into a life of discipline and sacrifice. Since she was a baby I was terrified of what the teen years would bring. I was sure she would see me as the enemy instead of the father just trying to protect his little girl. I am blessed to say that the day has never come, and my daughter and I are best buddies and have an amazing relationship. I can't believe the little lady this kid has turned into. We are so proud of her! Tonight we took her out for her 16th birthday and presented her with a ring and a tiara. Only to drive home the point that she should always value herself and never let herself be put into the position to be used by others Aurora Jean we love you to death, you are the most amazing little surprise we could have ever asked for. And when I look at you to this day, just like when you were a baby, you simply take my breath away.
