Hard hunts make the taste of victory ever so sweet. Congrats to your son.

I have both 1" and 30mm. Looking to spend not more then $50 per pair. Wanting something a bit better then walmart stuff but can't do like $100 rings. I suppose it's worth mentioning upgraded scopes to me is a few crossfire scopes a prostsff and a viper. I'm upgrading just from the factory mounted optics.

Lol! So how many animals is that? Maybe she's sneaky and timing things intentionally just to see how much work you will put in for her. Careful, could be a test.

Yup like beaton said, don't be hard on yourself. A tough hunt is a tough hunt. I don't necessarily consider myself a "good" Hunter but I consider myself a successful hunter. The biggest factor in the long run is persistence. The best advice I can give anyone is keep at it and stay positive.

Their brains work just fine. They just think they are more important than you. Some people are just a$$holes.

Easy to say for someone who is a seasoned hunter. I routinely show pics of my kids with animals and they call Elk "Deer" all the time. Very easy to misidentify if your not a hunter.

Dude that's awesome. Congrats to your boys!

Do the pellet stoves need a power source for the auger? Or are there battery powered ones?
-
Sorry but no, selling it for my mom.
-
You know you want it.

So yeah, it actually is for sale. Its a 90 or 91 Dodge Caravan. It has a wheelchair lock in it for the kind that sticks out the bottom and attaches to the device on the floor. It's not pretty but it gets the job done. New steering pump, rack and pinion, wiper blades, oil, new AC compressor, and new tail light assemblies. Windshield had a chip that cracked but the crack was filled in and repaired. Two tires are new and I will replace the front two in a couple days. Battery is fairly new. My mom got this for my dad before he passed and it sat for awhile. She spent around $3k and put about $800 (I think) into it. Looking to get $2300 OBO

We tried the Steve Rinella kimchi taco recipe and it was pretty dang good! I think you can still find it in the website.

I'm so sorry to hear this. I will be praying for all of you. -
I am unable to confirm whether the javelina or the old lady had a beard. Well on second thought, it's Bisbee so there is a good chance the old lady is a dude, and may have a beard.

That's a great deer. That's a nice buck in your avatar as well.

Good to know. My gun is a dpms clone (thunderguns). I'll be happy if I can get 1 moa at 200. That's pretty darn good. I don't see an exit wound did the bullet lodge inside? Any pics of the interior damage?

I think I would go viper over the vultures. I got rid of kaibabs to get two pairs of lower priced binos. I got a pair of vulture and viper. If I had to pick one I would stick with the vipers. I would suggest putting both on a tripod and comparing.

I cant for the life of me think of something better to do with my time. You are a lucky dude even if its been a long time coming. Congrats on a fun family hunt and best of luck to you guys. hope you put meat on the ground!

Nice job. I'd also like to know the specs on the AR10. Just got myself a kit in 308 that's going to be my hunting rifle until I can afford to replace my stolen rifle. Congrats on a great first deer.

Sub moa and the ruger american predator

Yep just what he said! Yeah stick the weapon in a claw or clamp and let a kid shoot 400+ yrds and let them be proud... they just squeezed the trigger. Just sayin! Triclawps does not make it easy for kids to shoot 400 yards. A bipod and or bag is far more accurate. You still gotta hold the back end of the rifle steady with the clamps. We only use the clamps depending on the terrain. -

So does the inherent accuracy of this gun in the 6.5CM caliber transfer to other calibers? 6.5 seems like a no brainer but I'm thinking about 7mm stainless. Any other calibers right out the box shooting as well? -

I ended up getting the black Friday deal from cabelas. Savage FV with accutrigger and heavy 26" barrel $219 after rebate. Can't beat that deal. Probably will cut the barrel down though and make it more manageable for my daughter. -
