Sub moa and the ruger american predator
CatfishKev replied to CatfishKev's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Thanks for the replies. Overall I guess I'm just fascinated by a $350 gun that shoots amazing right out the box. I don't plan on trying to make my kids super snipers or anything just asking. It really just comes down to money for me. I'm a dude with 5 kids and I have to make it stretch. The side note is I need to replace my stolen (and only) hunting rifle. I was just hoping that accuracy applied to rugers stainless 7mm as well since that's the caliber I want for myself. If I can get that quality for 300 less then a tikka then that should be awesome. If not I'll probably go with the tikka. -

I'm not hung up on the 7mm or stainless. Just kind of wondering. I'm already sure I'm probably getting one for my youngster about to turn 10. I was told by Bigorange that another member here got a 7-08 that shoots great groups as well. -
Did you have to do anything special to get the swaro eyepiece to work with it?

Aren't the pig leftovers one's you can just got to an office and grab?

Congrats. sounds like a win for the good guys.

Pipes could crack but the tank is unlikely. When you leave them the pump off and open the spickets to release water pressure.

Well at least when you said shoot the biggest buck she didn't actually shoot a bull! That's still a great buck I'd shoot it any day of the week.

Bummer man sorry to hear that.

Was looking up some videos on engraving and saw some done with spray paint dipping. There was a thread on here that had some of Nevada Grassie stuff which was totally awesome. What have you guys seen or done that came out good? Looking for some ideas for my daughter's first deer. Please post pics if you have them.

Looks good. You know what it will cost yet?

Maybe he didn't have a tag and was helping his buddies.

It's pretty big. I guess.

Great buck. I thought I saw fry mesa in the background. Did you guys see any rogue elk while you were out?

Depends how far from your vehicle you're hunting. I would watch several videos on gutless field dressing. Then debone the meat right there and bring the meat back. This way you won't need a pricey pack. Also field dressing can be intimidating the first few times. I would highly recommend you get a leftover pig tag. List should be out soon. Making your first stalk and field dressing attempt on a pig would be a good way to get your feet wet.

The new sigs don't give your angle? Isn't this a pretty important feature?

These seem like a good value.

Ugghh. Bot flies, my wife is always watching those nasty videos. Makes me sick. Congrats to you and your boys. Nice bucks. -
Maybe you could make some sort of piece like on the fancy new swaro btx that your forehead rests against.

Stupid scope ring qurstion
CatfishKev replied to Presmyk's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Are high quality rings less likely to leave ring marks of crush the tube? I've wondered this myself. -
Congrats and congrats.
