On the way back from Tombstone to Sierra Vista my boss came across an accident. Dude was a hunter that got ejected from his jeep. He was conscious and aware but wasn't in hardly any pain. Not always a good sign. He probably was on a dirt road just poppin back out on the main road to hit the next one and Boom! Life just got real different. It made me think about all the times I think I'm just heading to the next place just down the road. I've been making myself and kids wear the seat belts EVERY SINGLE TIME (the kids always have but not me) even if I'm only going a very short distance. You just never know what could happen and it sure ain't worth your life, or even worse someone else's. Side note, the dude ended up with a broken neck. It happened to be a neihbor of one of my coworkers pest control customers. Last time he was at her house he saw the guy walking around with a neck brace. Lucky, lucky dude. Glad your OK, but be more careful.

Well the upside is you can get a crossbow permit if you want to. Just do it before the surgery. Hope it gets better for you.

"Worst Pig Hunters in Arizona" Break Through
CatfishKev replied to rossislider's topic in Youth Hunters
Nice job dad. They can be tricky little buggers. -
Growing up close to farm country with cold winters, I really expected something different based on the title.

I got a pair of kaibabs and leupold switch powers. I constantly find myself reaching for the switch powers just because they are convenient. I don't mind that they are not as good as the kaibabs. Water for the day is heavy enough, I'd rather not carry all the extra weight.

Best Rifle Season (nov 25 to dec 4) units?
CatfishKev replied to reece_mess16's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
In my opinion it would be worth the aggravation to hunt Ft. Huachuca in 35a. We call it the zoo.- 27 replies

Best Rifle Season (nov 25 to dec 4) units?
CatfishKev replied to reece_mess16's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Those are primo hunts. If you want to hunt next year put in for a early or mid season rifle hunt in a southern unit. You will likely be drawn, it's beautiful country down here and there still good bucks.- 27 replies

And a great first deer at that!

Can this be corraborated by anyone. Not calling you a liar just wondering. Is it confiscated drug money? If so use it!

Pretty sure the government owns the easement along the fence. And if they don't like it screw em. Let them pay for the fence to go around the reservation and back to the border on the other side. Some of the rudest people I've ever met there.

It's amazing how we want to hunt with our kids hoping its their memorie to cherish. In the end it's probably more ours!

Oh that's a good one. The only thing that would make it better is if it was true. Lol.

Yes. Like no tags has stated, this was not done by AZ politicians it was done by lawyers paid for by unions to get put on the ballot. It would have to go through the proper channels to get put on the next one. There will be a lot of data and statistics to go through that should demonstrate how bad this is for AZ hopefully next time around it will getput on. And yes there would be a shi.storm but it would be worth it. The real bad thing would be all the lawsuits that it would generate when employers make bs reasons to can employees just to hire new ones cheaper.

Nice job. Can't wait til Friday, lettin my oldest two kids ditch school to go pig huntin.

When you consider all the kids workin the counters at McDonalds and grocery stores etc you know a great deal of the, will end up losing there jobs. We will now see a big time spike in unemployment at the taxpayers expense. This increase will really hurt a lot of mom n pop operations, not to mention all the sneaky back door rules they snuck in on this one. Now ALL employees will be entitled to paid sick leave and it has to be calculated as you go throughout the year. This is above the average person doing there own payroll and even above most local payroll companies just to keep track of all this new crazy crap. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of fast places go to an automated ordering system like you see at quick trip. Eliminate the five kids taking orders and have just one to hand them there food. I think it's Chick filet already has an app where you can order your food off your phone and just go pick it up.

I think it's quite possible that they were still there, or you may have misjudged your location once you got there. If you a have a gps mark the spot where they are and use it to guide you to where they are. Also I wouldn't count on on them feeding uphill. I don't know your unit but here down south I see them run horizontal along the sides of the mountin more then up and down. It's harder to see them in the evening then put a stalk on them cuz it's easy to run out of light.
