Saw one today flying just north of Douglas. Seemed odd.

Yeah can't honestly say I remember seeing them on my travels up to morenci and back. But if you look at the valley by Wilcox and draw a straight line north over the mountains that would be the west side of mt graham so pima and ft Thomas probably make more sense. Of course it's mostly cotton around safford and I have no idea if that's a viable food source for them. Maybe look for farms growing something other then cotton.

I could be wrong but looking at the unit boundaries you need to be down in the low fields of the safford area. Over the years I've only seen cranes flying over the flat low valleys of double adobe, up through elfrida, Kansas settlement and Wilcox areas. Makes me think that safford, Solomon and ft Thomas are the only real options you got.

Who knows, after he pulls the trigger on one the first time he might like it. And if he still doesn't then maybe next time around give him a pass. Kids need more outdoors and less time gaming IMHO.

I got the 12-3. I think my boys got the pig tags that same time over there maybe we will cross paths. I wouldn't worry a whole heck of a lot as far as places. Last I remember the big dairy let's people hunt there. But I'm sure a few pms will put you in a good spot.

He was actually from Stafford. He was staying with his woman in the RV park I was staying at right down from 3way. Happens to share your first name.

Man people suck. It's not camping etiquette though. It's just people everywhere in any situation. Everyone these days have a sense of entitlement. Common sense is now officially uncommon. Been a biz owner for over 20 years and I have TONS of stories. Here's just 3.. 1. I hire a carpet guy to do install on a double wide that came off a dealers lot. No water or waste lines hooked up. Dude takes a steamer in the John and apparently had no tp. Literally used a bath towel hanging in the bathroom from when the house was staged on the dealers lot. Wipes his a$$ with it and leaves it sit in the sink. Flushes it down with a bucket and when the guys come to hook up the sewer line he's in the zone, and not the good zone. He totally denied it was him.. 2. Had the morenci and Clifton manufactured home subdivisions drywall, flooring and cleaning contract. Literally the end of the job like it's Thursday going home Friday. Made a couple jars of xxx for my bosses that hired me as a thank you. Went to the truck to grab a shop vac and noticed all 3 jars had varying differences in fill height. I'm a Virgo, everyone was precise when I filled them. I went to dude and was like wtf? I shoot you not his answer was "well I'm an alcoholic brother". Then he bails and I'm stuck over the weekend and miss my wife's birthday. Then I'm stuck in my trailer on his dad's property sleeping with my 40 cal because I'm worried he's gonna start shooting up my trailer cuz he was constantly making comments about how his dad just thought I was the best but he was a constant disappointment. 3. Hired another carpet guy for a job (another double wide). Dude trims all the carpet by hand and not with a wall trimmer. The floor trim in the house is basically MDF with a white paper film on the outside. Literally something like 350 linear feet of razor knifed floor trim and sprinkles blood throughout the house from where he had cut himself. Yup, I got even more...

It isn't great and yes that's why leftovers don't exist anymore. Silver lining though... Archery quotas help in the big picture I think and as far as them sharing places to hunt can't imagine that there is any more info shared then what's on the game and fish pages. In the end local knowledge and places like this where folks are willing to trade info will reign supreme. But giving it away I won't do anymore.

I'm not an expert but I wouldn't be overly concerned shooting a 29 or 30'. Having just a bit of slack might save your forearm a bit from the occasional smack. You just don't want so much slack that you're arm holding the bow is not forward enough to feel locked. But you need a good anchor point for your release. Maybe try pulling a buddy's bow and see how it feels
