    Vortex Razor 11-33x50 questions

I just got this scope at the end of summer and really like it. I use it on back country hunts where every ounce counts. It's a great little scope IMO. I've used it now on a couple hunts (coues deer and barbary sheep) and have zero complaints. My buddies that have looked through have really liked it too. Pair it with a light tripod and you're good to go.

Vortex 15x50 Vipers or 15x56 Vulture

Thanks for all the input. I went with the Vultures after reading a lot of reviews about the 56 objective. I haven't had the chance to use them yet but will try to update once i do.

    Which Spotter???

Lots of good info on here. Keep it coming. Researching a lot of the options suggested. Kinda leaning towards the Vortex Razor HD but lots of options still to consider.

    Which Spotter???

I'm looking at getting a compact spotting scope to use on pack-in hunts. I would appreciate in info/opinions from anyone who has used these. The two scopes I'm looking at are the Vortex Razor HD 11-33X50 and the Nikon Prostaff 5 16-48X60. I like the vortex but also like the little bit more power and larger objective of the Nikon. The Nikon is only about 1.5oz heavier than the Vortex. Thanks!

    Which Spotter???

Thanks Opticnerd. That's pretty much what I will be using it for. Just to see it something far off is worth the hike over, not so much counting inches. Space and weight are my main concern but has to be useful as well.

    Which Spotter???

Ok, thanks. Probably more than I'm looking to spend but I'll for sure keep it in mind.

    Which Spotter???

Thanks for the info guys. Some other options to look into as well. Still have lots of research to do looks like. Swivelhead, you're correct. Once you get too big on the objective it takes up a lot of space in the pack. cjl2010 what are looking to get on your swaros?

    Which Spotter???

Thanks. Yeah I do backpack in and the Nikon is only 1.5oz more so maybe it would be better.
  12. I have a Quigley-Ford Long Range Scope for sale. 3-12X50mm This is a brand new scope, never been mounted. The crosshairs are etched out to 1000 yards. It is specifically set up for a 7mm RUM 150g 3450fps with a 200 yard zero. Looking at ballistics charts, it should be pretty close for anything in this ballistic range including 300 win mag 180g. The Quigley-Ford website retails this scope for about $875 and has a lifetime warranty. It's a very nice scope. I won it and just have no need for it. $600 OBO. Can call or text me at 575-574-2004 Thanks!
