The best for the freezer.  What does a tag like that cost?

    $400 for the landowner license,

$65 for non resident hunting license

    $5 habitat stamp.

The tag itself cost me a couple bottles of whiskey. It helps to know the landowner with all the tags.

  2. Didn't get drawn in Arizona this year, so resorted to plan B which was a landowner tag in New Mexico.
They tried to elude me with the weather moving in, but was fortunate enough to connect before the bad stuff moved in. Thankful for the harvest, and a VERY full freezer!

  3. I’ve seen a few posts here and there about people looking for a lab to be studded out.

This is Bowen, I’ve got all of his paper work. He’s a 6 year old chocolate lab. Great drive and temperament.

Let me know if you are interested or know anyone that may be.  Located in Flagstaff.

Any gobbles these last few days or are the turkeys pretty much done?  Did the Flagstaff area get any rain yesterday?

Gobbling this weekend, pretty steady rain overnight here in Flagstaff. Alarm went off at 3:30 to get up and head out, still raining so got a few more hours of sleep.

Thats pretty crazy.  In twenty years running around in the wilderness Ive only seen one bear, at 1000 yards give or take.

I've had them on camera before, but this was way too close for comfort, my initial thought was please don't let any cubs be around! But, I'll be back out the next 2 days, and hopefully tag a bird.

What part of 6A are you in?

Near Mormon Mountain... Had 2 birds gobbling yesterday afternoon, and went over the hill to close the distance and ended up about 40 yards from a black bear milling around. Seemed like an eternity staring down each other, but we both decided it’s best if we go our separate ways.

  7. I've been on them sporadically, but can't seem to connect. I've been concentrating on the east side of 17 where I did my scouting. But having a lot of new hunters showing up, and seeing less javelina. Should I try over on the Sedona side or VOC area? I know its late in the game to be switching up areas like that, but really want to be able to make it happen.

  8. Tagged out on my first elk during the late rifle bull hunt. Moved to AZ from Texas back in 2016, hunting western big game has been the most challenging, humbling, and rewarding experience I've had as an outdoorsman.
