Obviously you are and then you make your typical stupid comments. Then you backpedal again with your typical stupid crawfish remarks. If you cant contribute to the thread then dont post. What a troll.Calm down. I said I don't think the laws need to be changed. And ffs I didn't know so many people read these redundant walls of text come on DUDE you have to read them especially after the main post is put up, thats where you find out all the good shoot because people just cant shut up. its fun and makes for a saturday at work entertaining.

Like I said in the beginning, you being honest about it in your 1st post was commendable, you should have stopped posting. thats why I asked in my 1st posts more bout the hunting part and what happened.but you wanted to just talk about how unfair the law was.people usually start posts like that cause they know they screwed up want people to get on there side for what ever reason until the real truth comes out you know the little insedential things. the more you posted the more I get the feeling that the feeling that you figured you were going to be just slapped on the wrist and everything would be back to normal. Then you posted the above thats in bold. so you break the laws by not paying attention to what your doing and think its unfair that you got into trouble and might loose your points for a bighorn sheep permit. Flat lander is spot on in his last 2 posts.

kids have to learn patience. my daughter took the hunters ed at 10 cause i was giving her my 12b early rifle hunt, well I ended up in the hospital 2 days before we were suppose to leave. we then put in for elk and lopes dad f'd up again and screwed up the apps they got denied. we went deer hunting archery and had a blast and of coarse yote huting and quail. the next year I didnt screw up apps and she got drawn for bull elk. we went deer and elk yotes and quail, then I got drawn again for elk we went deer elk quail and yotes, and i'll be dang if I didnt get drawn for elk again.I gave her the tags. if you and your wife put in also you can pass the tag onto the kid thats gives him more chances to hunt and it doesnt always have to be about who is pulling the trigger you have kids now if you want them to hunt give them the tag. your going to hunt anyway cause you have to take him and its much funner watching a hunt through a kids eyes. if you are worried about draw odds dont put in why worry him or yourself. just put in for where you want to hunt and you may or may not get drawn. people do every year with 0 points. if he only wants to hunt elk have him get a job and be ready for a life of disappointment. 2nd choice deer hunts pig hunts guarenteed OTC turkey hunts for minors etc etc lots of hunting opportunities in this state. get him a bow and then he can hunt archery deer OTC aug -sept dec and the whole month of Jan. for coues or mulies

This is the money quote in this entire topic. I'm not faulting the OP. But 2 shots were fired. No other action should have happened until the area was thoroughly checked for 2 birds down. It's a conscience decision we all must make, especially if the other hunter "wasn't sure" he got it. Irregardless if other birds are running around. We must be certain. yup forlorn hit the nail on the head with this post.

Did you get charged with a felony when you got caught shooting all those elk with a paint ball gun? No the G&F guy I was hunting with at the time forgot his ticket book at home when I picked him up. man those were the good old days when they participated
-
When I was driving home from work a bit ago I thought about this. I had a case just like this. Ie ticket from lake pleasant park police for throwing a friendly get together tourney at pleasant. If I recall it was the same type of ticket and both felony and misdemeanor were on it. The statue read that is was a class blah blah misdemeanor and could be a class blah blah blah felony. I for get the exact wording. so obviously everyone looks at the worse. I am thinking the OP is doing the same thing. his lawyer told him what could happen of coarse its always the worse. when I went to court and fought it myself, the prosecutor said I should get a lawyer because the lady in charge of maricopa county parks wanted my butt to hang. I told him who the f cares there is no law against what I did. long story short went to court 3 or 4 times, the prosecutor finally found some law they could get me on. went before the Judge again, he asked if I wanted to change my plea. I told him NO he said they want to charge you with a felony and pay huge fines and maybe jail time. I smiled and said ok. he said come back tomorrow for sentencing I said ok. got in there he asked me if I wanted to change again I said no he said ok what do you want your penalty to be. I said What. he said I have to give you a penalty. he asked if 100 bucks was too much I said how about community service. he goes even better idea. 4 hours community service. I said no 40 hours( if I recall) and I get to pick the program. he said ok you asked for it who. I said game and fish as I volunteer on fishery projects already he said sounds good to me. anyway what I am getting at it is I am betting its the same type of ticket in that class. I forget what they call it and could look it up if need be. it goes from misdemeanors to felonies for the same act it all depends on the judge. Trphyhtr probably remembers those days, I know a few on here do

I'd be the 1st one to commend AZG&F on just about everything with the EXCEPTION of there law enforcement division. most of the time they go a little to far under circumstances. They are no better than cops probably because they are. I know 3 wardens personally there down right good guys and don't over exaggerate certain situations. like a few others do. Heres where you screwed up. you went to the main office, that right there is a no no they are worse than a school districts zero tolorance policy deal. in my opinion your did that right thing. shows your intergraty and honesty yeah sometimes it doesnt pay well except when the law is concerned then it never pays to be honest.. hence the reason people carry shovels. I don't know if your case went up to the commissioners yet but I believe they all do. The commissioners will be the ones I believe that decide your fate. make sure you dont miss that appointment. Also can you explain you shot a second turkey your info leaves alto left out. did you hit two with one shot, did you shoot one it ran away and you shot another. where you driving down the road and jumped out to shoot them? in a stand etc etc.

I think they are all harder to call with electronics. we goto north rim alot for calling and I dont do as well with a e-caller as a mouth call. Dont be dissing on the lightning jack. thats the only e caller sound that has worked for me my fox pro has a ton of sounds too. over the years I have the most yotes called in with the high pitch sounds. the other deeper sounds I havent had near as much luck with. I have called in a bunch on a mallard duck call while duck hunting. you can make a duck call sound like 2 yotes/foxs fighting it brings them in pretty quick

haha thats what we do and I'm at 100 % success 3 years in a row early archery bull elk unit 8..before that is was 3 tags in 4 years for rifle lope unit 9. I always sucked at math too imagine that one of these days I am going to play the odd maybe I will get drawn for deer or pigs
-
That sucks man. Kid had something similair on her 1st deer 3 years ago.. she hit it perfect in both lungs and a complete pass through, guy comes around a corner and I told him to go chase the other deer up the road they were everywhere. he come over and helped us try to locate hers. blood looked like this for 1/2 mile or more, maybe 40 blood puddles like the pics. then just stopped, we spent a straight 30+ hours looking for that deer then came back a day later and found small drops every 20-30 yards.all indications the SOB ended up jumping off sycamore canyon. we went back every 3 days for a few days for the rest of archery deer and till the end of archery elk still couldnt find it. sucks but shoot happens

Anyone hunting in Arizona with a suppressor or other states

I dont mind the background check its just the long wait. I am the spur of the moment type guy As far as your quieting air tools. I think you can put a silencer on them, I have an old venture vacuum system (uses compressed shop air)never used it from like 3 years ago. anyway it has a silencer on it, I hooked up up a while back ago and unscrewed the silencer from the venture component it made a huge difference. I wonder if that would work on air tools or something like that. if I ever get some free time I might have to try it. I dont use airtools very often at all but they are loud. even my die grinders I used for deburring I ended up going to all foredom electric stuff expensive but well worth it. -
so whats the word today working on number 3? Just f'n with ya.

THey are not "movie quiet", but the hunting difference is night and day. At least for the cans I shoot. In the heat of the moment you don't really even hear it. I do not wear hearing protection anymore and I never have ringing ears. When target shooting I still wear hearing protection even with the cans on. sounds more like a 22 short to me on the 308 and a 22mag on the 223,(both bolt guns) but my hearings is shot from 47+ years of shooting. I always wore hearing protection and doubles(plugs and muffs) when shooting pistols and rifles and the 10+years of tourny skeet only muffs. I wish they would make it legal like buying a firearm at least for my kids sake, wont help me any. one of these days I am going to end up going through the paper work stuff, probably sooner than later too. I think the ringing in my ears is from driving with the window rolled down more and not so much from shooting in my case. I dont like AC. it hit me pretty hard at about 48 and gets worse and worse. but running cncs dont help either. -
Funny I had the same problem. e callers are nice and my kid doesnt make fun of me about the sounds I make. but hey they work always have. Did call in a bobcat and a fox with one 2 years ago. Defiantly called in less with an e caller than mouth calls. but at times I have stayed longer with an ecaller cause I was too lazy to get up and move and called in a few. 45 mins. normally my stands are 5-20 mins tops with mouth calls. e callers I have stayed out for an hour just to see what happens. We bought the ecaller so we can use the bows. thinking it would give use both a better shot. happened to notice that when your using a ecaller the run in and keep on running with a mouth call they usually stop and look around and not so skidish..

I'm just Trying to do my best. But feel free to fukk yourself douche bag. It was the only animal I've wounded in my life, until today cuz I wounded another Well you can always look at the bright side at least your getting closer. something tells me you tagged this one. if not turn the heat off in the truck crack the window a little more you'll have a clearer shot

Sure am glad that arrow came out, dont want to be reading and looking at pictures about some clown who stuck a deer in the butt. Seriously that sucks, he may stiffen up in the morning and be easier to find.

i know a few people that do and they love it. lots of people do it for yotes and varmits ran into them over the last few years when yote hunting. called with one guy it was sweet he got 2 yotes and a fox in the same stand just mins apart. its not quiet you do hear some noise. I planned on doing it when they changed the law a few years ago, but I really dont know if I want to mess with hassle of getting a stamp or not. I have the o7 paper work on my desk from 8 years ago then planned on getting a 02 after that for building them and other firearms. but I am hesitant of the hassle as I have a customer thats keeping us busy and dont want to screw that up by getting into something else. -
captain quint? arghhhhhh

HAHA dude that was the 70's on a island they were wild , you either went behind the house and clubbed it, shot it with a bow or spear. islanders got that one for us(no guns on that island after we sold it back to Japan in the late 60's). the guy in the picture was the chief of police. Islanders wanted that shark out of the bay as it bothered people/ tourist, they thought is was a tiger shark but it was a mackerel shark. which is just as aggressive. it was 3 meters 3 centimeters long. that building in the background is the original Sea turtle and shark research facility and I believe the 1st one in the world. there was thousands of baby sea turtles on the beach. we would help catch them and bring them into the center to be tagged and studied hammerheads and tigers breed in the shallows of the beachs On chi chi Jima. really cool to see hundreds of little 1-3 foot long hammer heads swimming in knee deep water while every one was swimming. funny cause when we got there jaws the movie had Just come out on the base and we watched it a few days before departing on that 2 day long boat ride. it was harder than heck to go in the water.

Now this post got me thinking about the old days. heres a pic of Dad and I fishing for Wahoo in early 63 on an island dad was stationed on 500 miles from Japan, then when I was around 14 dad sent me back to the same island for a month so I can see it before he retired. a pic of my biggest. caught the shark drop shooting a live goat using bobbers with the guy behind my sister in the pic, basically hooked a live goat to some big butt hooks and threw it over board attached to some of those big orange floats I think there was 3. next morning we had the shark. Ive lead a pretty AWSUM childhood

Same here. I just took it to an extream level when I was younger. Missed most of high school because of hunting and fishing. missed most of the early years of marriage, ie bars, concerts and parties cause of hunting and fishing(drug the wife along she liked it though as long as she had a book) got older had kids took them,. unless they want to go for big game which our Daughter always does I only go yote hunting or p dog shooting got burned out on the fishing thing every day for 17+ years at the local lakes takes its toll. always picked them up after school in the bass boat to go fishing.
