I have carried my ar and bow at the same time while archery deer hunting. only way I will go now in most places if I am hiking in and camping from the pack the night. but walking around glassing and deer hunting in units 31 32 and 33 I always carry my ar and bow while hunting. other thing is you might want to look into a 44 or 41 cal revolver. I have a scoped savage striker .243 bolt action pistol like he one in this pic. Tried to carry that many times in and out of the pack with the bow its just to cumbersome and easier to carry my shorty ar on a sling

sorry wasnt meaning you, I was talking about 654321 post looking like Kiabab this am. BTW have you seen the bulls that like to hang out in no mans land ie the median on I-17 a mile or 2 south of stoneman lake road. some big ones in that deep canyon, saw a bear in there one year..

I think there would be too many parts per million another words it would be diluted to much. there was a case in the news recently where some sand monkeys were having a relationship with a donkey and they all got rabies, so apparently you can get it with sex from animals consensual or not
-
Edge next time you talk to your vet, ask him if rabies are more prevalent in the dry times. after a few months of being dry we tend to see more rabies cases. (if also could just be a coincidence due tot he animals hangin around water more) been curious about that
-
Probably yes. This is the Central American bat strain. Most people and animals will contract it thru bat bites. My vet researched the strain before inoculating my livestock. I believe skunks and grey fox are high on the list for spreading it. And yes, deer can get it too. If you're considering giving the boosters, reconsider. You can buy them online for your animals but you may not be getting the correct strain and you're not certain how the vaccine was stored or handled. The boosters have a very short shelf life and quickly denatures in the incorrect storage temps. treat every predator and small game animal as if it had rabies. a bunch of years ago (80's?) lake mary area had a huge problem with skunks and rabies. we used to go up there and pop them all the time with the 22-250s. arivipa canyon in the 90s and 2000's had all kinds of rabid yotes around. on the bright side rabid animals are easy to call into and you'd better have a pistol with you cause they get very close. shot a yote that just wouldn't stop at less than 5 feet enough to splatter blood all over me after 4 shots. I should have probably gotten a rabie shot but just went ot the truck changed closes and washed off with lots of water. ended up burning the clothes

With out a doubt. Cwt.com is the only social media I participate in but I recognize it has become an industry of cool. Most Johnny come lately are less interested in hunting and more into showing up and killing something yup the instant gratification phase. and I always got crap for giving e scouters a bad time. this was probably some schmuck to told to sucks balls in the past and now he created an app to make money on escouters . fagbook ,twatter and smart phones has ruined this country. it makes lazy people and "Victims" everyday
-
On the bright side it may cut down on E Scouters. They need one like that for dating and could make millions.

Nah TrphyHntr, You are welcome to ask her out or commission her to do some art for you...??? Edge, Lonee/Rose/ "Ghost" Kaiotii... I think he is working on commissioning this one

Coach good advice. My Father always told me from the time I was a kid, never get mad, in a argument etc etc if your carrying a weapon gun or knife just walk away. likewise if they are carrying just walk away no matter whos at fault. and that was in the 60's. too many hot heads out there that can't control there temper, not worth getting killed or killing someone over.

called multitasking you should try it sometime.

I dont know why but this keeps popping into my head.

I dont believe in all the stats and ways people come up with. No bonus points put in for the same early archery bull hunt for the last 3 years and we got drawn the last 3 years. kid the 1st year me the second 2. it was the 1st time she ever put in too. its luck of the draw anyone can do it.

Not sure about the unit but sounds like this trail.

That paper is still being printed WOW. That article is funny in the sense that is was mainly about trophy hunting Africa then a paragraph about trapping.( i guess to all Disney movie enthusiast.. aka moms with kids .) the human society like said above is a dangerous organization. mainly because they get the support from pet owners. Only think that I dislike on homberg in the morning on KUPD is that fund raising they do for these clowns.

if this gets to page 6 , this might help

Maybe you should have returned the favor and waved them past too

next time go straight to the good spot. Sure... and blow out the deer between where I was and there. By the way, this wasn't a "trail"... the trail branches off about 1/2 mile back. This was a ridge line. I just wouldn't have done what they did. A ridge line is a trail, you yourself said it was impassible/ extreamly rough on both sides. now you expect then to walk 1/2 mile back to go another route. fake edit they coudl be saying, you know we were driving alon at our own pass and this guy passed us hauling butt right in front of us scaring everything away Sure thing boss... scaring everything away that was 1/2 hour down a rough road then 1 hour hike down a ridge line. Glad I have more ethics than you. We'll have to simply disagree on ethics. I'm done. I simply don't agree on playing leap frog with another hunter. There was another way to go and I did, they didn't. Enough said. Enjoy your hunts. your impatient and probably young not to mention a cry baby, more than likely from back east too boot. I am glad you have better ethics than I do, now go jump on that quad and pass some other old farts taking there time.

Sherman awsum post especially hunting with the kids and family. our hunt was miserable from the day we left phx to the day we set up camp, than on the way back. Planned on 5 days some home and go for 4 more days. Due to being busy at work and vehicle problems and not getting any sleep(not just one but both, towed her jeep) . we hunted 3 days and still had a blast, the hunting part was fantastic. The kids a nutjob just like all kids they can make the best out of a bad time. she got to draw on quite a few bulls, shot at 2 or 3, was with in a few yards belly crawling under the scrubs. Watched a few rake trees tear up the ground and fight all with in 10- 50 yards. she was estatic. the one picture with her standing on the cliff I dotn think she will ever do that again with out her bow, as she was miffed cause I was blowing the bugle and went to look over the edge wanted a pic. to the right of her by the rocks not more than 30 seconds after the pic a decent bull bugled about 10 yards away and no bow. he was coming I grabbed her bow and handed it to her. it was a cat and mouse game for 20-30 mins with that bull. then all the way back to the truck he walked but it was dark and we barely made him out. I got to sit back and watch her belly craw under scrubs, sneak up on it and even say to the bull when they were face to face " WOW you have pretty EYES" I shi t you not. lots of fun the last 3 elk hunts with her, yup she hunted same unit same season 3 years in a row of them of I signed over to her. this is a good thread people should keep it going.
