That late hunt was as tough as everyone said it was going to be but we saw a lot of elk and I had three stalks on 6pt bulls. You can’t ask for much more on a tough hunt like that.
Before that I had a marginal unit for Coues and had some serious help from a couple lions herding that buck to me. I’d rather be lucky any day!

I want to first thank all of you for not roasting me out of the forum when I began here and asked for ALL your spots in 4B when I drew my late archery tag. I see how annoying that can be. Anyway, I'm ready now, to sit back, lurk, and read all the requests for your information on places.

I want to say thanks to all the guys that take part in this forum. You guys made researching this hunt easy. Coues Whitetail was everything it was supposed to be and more. I scouted this buck in July and found him on the second day of my hunt. I was able to get close (150 yards) and seal the deal with one well placed shot. I'm very proud of this buck. The warden was able to age him between 6 - 8 years which makes it all the better. Thanks for the conversation as always and enjoy the pictures!

I’m really excited to be heading back to 4B after a few years away. I had the late archery tag in 2018 and didn’t end up killing a bull. Had a bull at 75 yards coming into water but he was 25 yards passed my comfort zone for an archery shot. I have the 28 Nosler this year. Excited to give you all the story on this oddly controversial unit in a couple weeks. See y’all out there!
